ZZZ 3.2 meta snapshot: who to pull between Claret, Nangong Yu, Roxy and Promeia

We're halfway through Version 3.2, with a week left on the Claret and Nangong Yu banners. Here's where the meta stands. This snapshot combines two reference tier lists: Prydwen (updated for 3.2 on September 9) and Game8 (updated September 22). Both rate Agents on the endgame modes, Shiyu Defense and Deadly Assault.

The meta at a glance

The two lists don't always agree, but the top is clear:

• Supports and Stunners: Dialyn, Lucia, Nangong Yu, Norma, Sunna and Yuzuha are top tier on both lists. The strongest teams are built around them.
• Anomaly: Remielle (Lumiflux) and Velina (Wind) are top tier on both lists. Aria is T0 at Prydwen and one tier lower at Game8.
• Attack: Ye Shunguang is top tier on both lists. Sigrid is T0 at Prydwen and one step lower at Game8.
• Claret is the one they disagree on: T0 Crit DPS at Prydwen at launch, the tier just below at Game8. She's clearly strong, but the Armorer specialty is brand new and players are still figuring out how to use her best.

Should you pull right now?

• Nangong Yu (rerun, until September 30) is the safest choice this phase. She's top tier on both lists, and as an Ether Stunner she fits a lot of teams. If you don't have a top-tier Stunner yet, she's the one to get.
• Claret (until September 30) is for players who want the newest damage dealer and a fresh playstyle. Keep in mind that Armorers scale on DEF and replace CRIT DMG with Laceration, so the gear you built for ATK/CRIT DMG attackers won't carry over directly.
• Phase II (from September 30): we'd wait until Roxy (Wind Stun) is out and tested before committing. She looks like a natural partner for Velina. The Promeia rerun is a solid Ice Anomaly option: T0.5 at Prydwen, one tier below the top at Game8.
• Saving for 3.3: Phoenix (Fire Anomaly) and Severian (Wind Attack) have been officially revealed, but their kits aren't confirmed yet. If one of them is your favorite, saving is a reasonable choice. Pity carries over between Exclusive Channels.

Free value you shouldn't miss

• Beginner Guide: if you didn't claim your free limited Agent in 3.1, pick Jane, Hugo or Soldier 0 - Anby now. Prydwen rates Soldier 0 - Anby and Jane slightly above Hugo, while Game8 puts all three in the same tier. Pick the one that fills a gap in your roster.
• Pyrois, free from Season 3 Chapter 1, is still a strong Ether attacker: T0.5 at Prydwen (rated at Mindscape 2) and in the second tier at Game8.
• Surprise Screening Plan (until October 20) gives you an Angels of Delusion outfit and Polychromes. All-New Program gives you 10 Encrypted Master Tapes.

Pity reminder

In the Exclusive Channel, the S-Rank pity is 90 pulls, with a 50% chance of getting the featured Agent. If you lose the 50/50, the next S-Rank is guaranteed to be the featured one. In the W-Engine Channel, the pity is 80 pulls and the featured rate is 75%.

Tier lists are snapshots, not rules. ZZZ is a team game, and an Agent who fits your team will almost always beat a "better" Agent who doesn't.
