Claret
Owner of the Flint Workshop
Claret is the first Armorer Agent: an Electric main DPS whose damage scales on DEF, who runs on Sharpness instead of Energy and whose critical hits use Laceration instead of CRIT DMG. She stacks Gash on enemies while in her Crimson Inscription state, then cashes it in as AoE Maim bursts, with up to six Maims in a single Stun window.

Main stats
Substat priority
Stat targets
- Initial DEF 1,800+ (Thorned Rose 4-pc threshold)
- DEF 2,300–2,600+ on the stat screen
- CRIT Rate around 130% on the stat screen with her signature, aiming for close to 200% in combat
- HP 9,500+
Talent priority
CRIT DMG substats aren't wasted: each 1% converts into 0.35% CRIT Rate. ATK and Energy Regen are dead stats for Armorers.
Recommended teams
Premium: Norma & Rina
Her best team. Norma's buffs (and signature) suit Armorers, and her Chain Attack conversions help with Crimson Inscription and Decibels. Rina is the only Support who buffs DEF, and her PEN Ratio stays valuable when DMG% bonuses saturate.
Standard banner: Koleda & Rina
The most used Claret team in Deadly Assault right now, built around two standard S-Ranks. Lycaon is an equally good Stunner here: he shares Rina's faction, so his Additional Ability is active.
How to play
The Armorer basics
- DEF is her attack stat. Every skill deals Sharp DMG based on DEF; ATK does nothing for her.
- Sharpness replaces Energy. She enters the field with 60 Sharpness, but it regenerates slowly and Energy Regen doesn't affect it.
- CRIT works differently. Her crits apply the Laceration DMG bonus instead of CRIT DMG. Every 1% of initial CRIT DMG becomes 0.35% CRIT Rate, and CRIT Rate above 100% gives a second Laceration roll. Aim for close to 200% CRIT Rate in combat.
Core loop
- Use EX Special Attack: Bloodbloom Oath - Secret Forging Techniques (60 Sharpness) to enter Crimson Inscription for 16s. The timer pauses while she is off-field and during her Chain Attack, Ultimate and Counter Assist.
- Build Gash (up to 3 stacks) with the enhanced Basic Attack: Bloodbloom Oath - Starforging. Its 2nd hit and final smash can trigger a Perfect Dodge, which lets you loop straight back into the 3rd hit.
- If you're about to overcap, tap Special (Cleaving Gold and Iron) to spend one Gash on a Maim. Otherwise, save all 3 stacks for the Stun.
- Swap out regularly so your Stunner and Support can refresh their buffs. This also pauses the Crimson Inscription timer.
Stun combo (with Ultimate ready)
- Hold Special (Blood Burial Assault) for 3 Maims.
- Swap out and bring Claret back with her Chain Attack, then cancel into the Basic 3 shortcut to rebuild Gash.
- Chain Attack again (each one extends Crimson Inscription by 2s), then Basic 3.
- Ultimate: builds a full Gash stack and restores 10 Sharpness.
- Hold Special again for 3 more Maims.
This full combo fits even into a 12-second Stun. Norma's Chain Attack conversions slot in nicely at the end.
Her Counter Assist interrupts certain enemies' Control Skills. The follow-up hits hard and adds a Gash stack, so it's worth using whenever it's offered.
Strengths
- Huge burst: up to six Maims in a single Stun window.
- Doesn't depend on one specific Stunner: Norma, Koleda, Lycaon or Trigger all do the job.
- Easy to pick up, with plenty of room to optimize for experienced players.
- Her Counter Assist shuts down enemy Control Skills.
- The Armorer specialty has room to grow as more Armorers are released.
Weaknesses
- Keeping Crimson Inscription up takes careful routing and well-timed swaps.
- As the first Armorer, she has few dedicated partners and relies heavily on her signature W-Engine.
- Needs brand-new gear (DEF, CRIT Rate, Thorned Rose): your ATK/CRIT DMG discs won't carry over.
Notable dupes · Mindscape Cinema
Laceration raises her Gash Buildup Rate by 20%, and her Maims deal 130% of their original multiplier. Her biggest single upgrade.
Crimson Inscription lasts 2s longer, and her attacks ignore 18% of Electric RES while it's active.
The heavy hits of her Chain Attack and Ultimate trigger a free single-target Maim without consuming Gash.
