Norma
Chief Technician of the External Strategy Department
Norma is a Fire Stun Agent who works almost entirely off-field: her En-Nah Turrets keep building Daze and dealing solid damage, and her Top Hat Companion gives your DPS free Chain Attacks. With an Attack or Rupture teammate, she also boosts squad DMG by 20% and raises the Stun DMG Multiplier by up to 30%. Both Prydwen and Game8 rank her in their top tier.

Main stats
Substat priority
Stat targets
- CRIT Rate 80–100% on the stat sheet (100% maxes her Core Passive: +85% CRIT DMG and +40% Daze)
- At least 50% CRIT Rate for King of the Summit's extra buff
- ATK 2,400+
- CRIT DMG 100%+
Talent priority
Her Core Passive only counts initial CRIT Rate (outside combat): in-combat buffs don't help it. Unlike most Stunners, she doesn't want an Impact Disc 4.
Recommended teams
Free DPS: Pyrois & Sunna
Prydwen's top team for her and Game8's Chain Attack team: Pyrois has one of the hardest-hitting Chain Attacks in the game and turns every free Chain into Decibels for his Ultimates. Astra Yao is a common alternative to Sunna. Recommended Bangboo: Bangvolver.
Armorer: Claret & Rina
Norma's most used team in the current Deadly Assault. Claret isn't an Attack or Rupture Agent, so Norma's Additional Ability stays off here: gear her with Astral Voice and rely on her Daze and free Chain Attacks. Recommended Bangboo: Ultra Jake.
Rupture: Starlight Billy & Lucia
Her extra Chain Attacks give Billy more Determination and cover his long animations, and she gains ATK from Lucia's Sheer Force buffs. Dialyn is still stronger against Billy's usual bosses. Recommended Bangboo: Booressure (Game8), or Bangvolver.
How to play
Preheated Chamber and free Chain Attacks
- She starts each fight with 60% Preheated Chamber and gains 1.5% per second while on-field. Her EX Special adds 16% (up to 16% more if you hold it) and her Ultimate 30%.
- Hold Basic Attack (Hat Trick) to throw her Top Hat Companion: it fires, triggers the previous character's Quick Assist (5s cooldown) and keeps charging Preheated Chamber for her while she's off-field.
- At 80% or more, Hat Trick ignores the cooldown and turns that Quick Assist into a free Chain Attack for your DPS.
En-Nah Barrage
- Her EX Special (40 Energy) puts her in En-Nah Barrage for 32s and deploys two En-Nah Turrets. Holding the button extends the state by up to 32s more.
- The EX itself fires Armor-Piercing Warheads (lots of Daze) at enemies that aren't Stunned, and High-Explosive Warheads (more DMG) at Stunned ones. The rest of the time, the turrets attack on their own.
- When anyone Stuns an enemy, or when she spends Preheated Chamber on a Chain Attack, the turrets deploy their missile bays for 8s: they fire faster and launch Warheads too.
- Additional Ability (Attack or Rupture teammate, or same faction): each hit applies Tech Divide (+3% Stun DMG Multiplier, up to 10 stacks, and +2s Stun duration). While En-Nah Barrage is active, the squad deals 20% more DMG and she gains up to 870 ATK.
Rotation
- Open with her EX Special, then swap out: her signature and Hellfire Gears both reward off-field time.
- Recast her EX about every 15s to keep King of the Summit up, and save 40 Energy for when the Stun starts.
- Her Defensive Assist costs only 1 Assist Point, even against heavy attacks: parry often for extra Daze and Decibels.
- About halfway through the Stun (after roughly 8s, so the two missile-bay triggers don't overlap), hold Basic Attack for an extra Chain Attack on your DPS.
- Her Ultimate is her only burst Daze: use it to speed up Stuns.
Her own Chain Attack hits hard for a Stunner, but give Chain Attacks to your DPS whenever you can.
Strengths
- Builds plenty of Daze with very little field time, so your DPS stays on-field.
- Free Chain Attacks for your DPS: more damage and more Decibels.
- Solid personal damage for a Stunner, plus a 20% squad DMG buff and up to +30% Stun DMG Multiplier.
- Cheap Defensive Assist (1 Assist Point) that helps against aggressive bosses.
Weaknesses
- Little burst Daze outside her Ultimate, which can hurt against some bosses.
- Her buffs need an Attack or Rupture teammate (or one from her faction).
- Leans heavily on her signature W-Engine and on good CRIT Rate substats.
Notable dupes · Mindscape Cinema
Missile bays last 12s and every Warhead cuts the target's All-Attribute RES by 15%. Game8's top Mindscape for her.
Tech Divide gives 6% Stun DMG Multiplier per stack (60% max), and Hat Trick grants 25 Energy. Prydwen notes her value drops off after M2.
Missile barrage after each Stun (counts as Ultimate DMG), plus +30% Daze and DMG on her Warheads.
