Composer of the Angels of Delusion
Sunna is a Physical Support and one of the best partners for Attack Agents. Her EX Special gives the whole squad up to 1,050 ATK, her Ether Veil raises the Stun DMG Multiplier by 30%, and her cat Bubblegum marks enemies with Cat's Gaze, which your DPS detonates using their own stats. Both Prydwen and Game8 put her in their top tier, and she's part of the most used team in the game, with Ye Shunguang.

Once she reaches 3,500 ATK, CRIT substats help her own hits in CRIT teams, and Anomaly Proficiency in Aria teams (Prydwen).
Recommended teams
Meta: Ye Shunguang & Zhao
The most used team in both the current Shiyu Defense and Deadly Assault. Every Ether Veil activation gives Ye Shunguang 3 Sword Force, Sunna's buffs are easy to maintain and Zhao needs very little field time. Recommended Bangboo: Sprout.
Premium: Ye Shunguang & Dialyn
Game8's Attack team and the second most used in Deadly Assault. Dialyn is the premium Stunner, best against enemies whose Stun DMG Multiplier is 150% (so the bonus doesn't overcap). Recommended Bangboo: Sprout.
Angels of Delusion: Aria & Nangong Yu
The faction team: Sunna's frequent Ether Veils give Aria Fandom Power, Anomaly Agents detonate Cat's Gaze as a guaranteed CRIT, and the shared faction activates her Additional Ability. Yuzuha can replace Nangong. Recommended Bangboo: Biggest Fan.
How to play
Angelic Chord-ination and Ether Veil
- Her first EX Special, Bubblegum Barrage (70 Energy), gives the squad Angelic Chord-ination for 40s: +ATK equal to 30% of Sunna's initial ATK, up to 1,050 at 3,500 ATK. It also triggers a Quick Assist.
- Her second EX Special, Special Photography Technique (free, once per Angelic Chord-ination), activates Ether Veil: Delusion Reprise. Each cast is a brand-new activation, which matters for Ye Shunguang. Hold Special during the first EX to cast both in a row (slightly lower multipliers).
- Additional Ability (Attack or same-faction teammate): characters inside Delusion Reprise raise the target's Stun DMG Multiplier by 30% for 40s. She also gets 15 Energy on entering the battlefield.
Cat's Gaze and Bubblegum
- Bubblegum's attack (Naughty Cat Spotted), her EX Specials, Chain Attack and Ultimate apply Cat's Gaze for 12s.
- Attack and Anomaly Agents detonate it by hitting the target a few times (only one hit needed on a Stunned enemy): 300% of their ATK for an Attack Agent, or 480% guaranteed CRIT with +150% CRIT DMG for an Anomaly Agent. It uses all of the triggering Agent's stats and buffs.
- Claw Sharpener (max 6): +2 whenever an Ether Veil activates, +1 when an Anomaly is applied (10s cooldown), +6 from her Ultimate. While Sunna is off-field and no enemy has Cat's Gaze, Bubblegum spends one to re-apply it.
Rotation
- Use a few Basic Attacks at the start if you need Energy, then both EX Specials.
- Swap to your DPS and let them detonate Cat's Gaze.
- About every 25s, swap back for an EX Special to refresh Moonlight Lullaby. You can split the two EX Specials to get two refreshes from one Angelic Chord-ination.
- Use her Ultimate just before a Stun to max out Claw Sharpener, avoiding right after an Ether Veil so you don't overcap.
Avoid her Basic Attack string after the opener: its last hit has a long recovery that can't be cancelled with a Dodge.
Strengths
- Big, undiluted buffs for almost any Attack Agent, and very easy to play.
- Frequent Ether Veils, ideal for Ye Shunguang and Aria.
- Cat's Gaze adds a lot of damage without her needing damage stats.
- Cheap to build: she mostly needs ATK.
Weaknesses
- Her Additional Ability only works with Attack or Angels of Delusion teammates.
- Very low base Energy Regen (1.0), and her 70-Energy EX Special makes her lean on her signature.
- Much of her value is the Stun DMG Multiplier, so she's weaker in teams without a Stunner or with two DPS.
Notable dupes · Mindscape Cinema
15 more Energy on entry, and each Cat's Gaze detonation reduces the target's DEF by 7% (up to 3 stacks). Game8's recommended stopping point.
Squad ATK +10% inside Ether Veils, a Claw Sharpener every 10s, and stronger, easier Cat's Gaze detonations.
After each EX Special, she guarantees CRITs, gains up to 105% CRIT DMG and can detonate Cat's Gaze herself: she becomes a real sub-DPS.
