Pyrois
Phaethon's Ally
Pyrois is a free Ether Attack Agent from the Season 3 main story. Their kit revolves around four different Ultimates that only need 2,000 Decibels each, and around Solar Prominence spent on heavy Celestial Light strikes. With their free signature W-Engine, they match or beat many limited DPS: Prydwen ranks them T0.5 and Game8 Tier 1+.

Main stats
Substat priority
Stat targets
- CRIT Rate 57–72% before Sol Exuvia's +20% and M1's +8% (aim for 100% in combat)
- CRIT DMG 140–180%+
- ATK 2,800–3,200+
Talent priority
Sol Exuvia is free too (Game8: Interboo level 10). Chain Attacks matter more than usual: with their Additional Ability, each one refunds 300 Decibels for the next Ultimate.
Recommended teams
Free Chain Attacks: Norma & Sunna
Game8's Chain Attack team and a top pick on Prydwen: Norma's free Chain Attacks give Pyrois more Decibels for double Ultimates, and Sunna adds a big ATK buff. Astra Yao can replace Sunna. Recommended Bangboo: Bangvolver.
Premium: Dialyn & Sunna
Prydwen's reference team: Dialyn has great Daze and buffs, and her Ultimate conversion means even more Ultimates, which make up most of Pyrois' damage. Nicole is a strong replacement for Sunna. Recommended Bangboo: Bangvolver.
How to play
Solar Prominence
- They start with 30 Solar Prominence, gain 0.5 per second and more on every hit (max 60).
- At 30 or more, hold Basic Attack for Celestial Light. Hits 3 and 4 deal the real damage, and almost every skill (EX Special, Chain Attack, Ultimates, Dodge Counter, Assists) can shortcut straight into hit 3.
- Swap out during hit 3 and Pyrois performs hit 4 on their own, off-field.
Four Ultimates
Each Ultimate only needs the Blasting Decibel rating (2,000):
- Down, Triumphant Return: Sunflare for 200s (+40% DMG, +15% Energy Generation Rate, EX parries give 10 Solar Prominence). Use it once, right at the start.
- Up, Total Annihilation: +30 Solar Prominence and Mirage for 21s (+40% Ultimate CRIT DMG against Stunned enemies, and hit 4 of Celestial Light loops back into hit 3). Your Stun opener.
- Right, Eternal Imprisonment: extends the Stun by 3s, then its final hit triggers Totalize (2,250% of ATK) and ends the Stun. Your finisher.
- Left, Unbound Swordstorm: +900% of ATK against Contaminated enemies, so only worth it with a Wind Agent.
Additional Ability (Stun or Support teammate): +40% CRIT DMG, and every Chain Attack gives 300 Decibels.
Stun combo (Prydwen)
- Up Ultimate, cancel the Chain Attack.
- Celestial Light hits 3 and 4 (swap out during hit 3).
- Pyrois Chain Attack, then EX Special (Sun's Halo).
- Celestial Light hits 3 and 4.
- Right Ultimate to finish.
If you're short on Decibels, do two Pyrois Chain Attacks and end with the Right Ultimate. Outside Stun, spend Solar Prominence before it caps, and try to parry with Sun's Halo for extra Solar Prominence.
Strengths
- Completely free and always available, signature W-Engine included.
- Excellent multipliers: matches or beats many limited DPS.
- Easy to build, and their EX Special can parry enemy attacks.
- Four Ultimates that adapt to the situation.
Weaknesses
- Optimal combos need lots of Decibels, which makes them depend on the right teammates.
- Only available after the Season 3, Chapter 1 story.
- No usual Mindscape progression, which may limit their longevity.
- Needs a Stun or Support teammate for their Additional Ability.
Notable dupes · Mindscape Cinema
1,000 Decibels on entering the battlefield and +8% CRIT Rate. Pyrois' Mindscapes are free (Game8: Interboo), so get them as soon as you can.
Triumphant Return grants 1,500 Decibels (once every 180s) and their Decibel cap rises by 1,000. Prydwen's T0.5 rating assumes M2.
A shield when Sun's Halo parries an attack, and +10% Daze while shielded.
