Release5.4

Inazuma's dream-eating psychologist has become one of the best on-field carries of the Snezhnaya era. Her passive Vast Be the Dream lets her Dreamdrifter state deal direct Stellar Swirl DMG that scales on Elemental Mastery and can CRIT, all while she floats around on autopilot and heals the team with her Burst. As a standard-banner 5-star, she is also one of the easiest top-tier units to get.

Weapons

Sunny Morning Sleep-In BiS
5★ · Elemental Mastery
Signature and best in slot by a wide margin: up to 248 extra Elemental Mastery on top of a huge EM secondary stat.
+120 Elemental Mastery after Swirl or Stellar Swirl, +96 after Skill hits and +32 after Burst hits.
Starcaller's Watch
5★ · Elemental Mastery
Excellent EM stat stick, close second.
+100 Elemental Mastery; creating a shield grants the active character +28% DMG for 15s (once every 14s).
A Thousand Floating Dreams
5★ · Elemental Mastery
EM for her and a buff for the party; very close in premium Odette teams.
Teammates grant +32 Elemental Mastery (same element) or +10% Elemental DMG (other element) each; the party gains +40 Elemental Mastery.
Reliquary of Truth
5★ · CRIT DMG
CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG and EM in one package: great now that Stellar Swirl can CRIT.
+8% CRIT Rate; Skills grant +80 EM and Lunar-Bloom DMG grants +24% CRIT DMG, both boosted by 50% when active together.
Sacrificial Jade
4★ · CRIT Rate
Best 4-star at R5, as long as she spends 5s off-field before her turn to keep the passive.
After 5s off-field, gains +32% Max HP and +40 Elemental Mastery.
The Widsith
4★ · CRIT DMG
Accessible CRIT DMG option with a random buff on entry; Sacrificial Fragments performs about the same, and the free event catalyst Etherlight Spindlelute is a decent stopgap.
On entering the field, gains a random theme for 10s: +60% ATK, +48% Elemental DMG or +240 Elemental Mastery (once every 30s).

Substat priority

Stat targets

  • EM/EM/CRIT main stats in Stellar Swirl teams (EM/EM/EM only for regular Swirl)
  • Balanced CRIT: CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG are worth as much as EM
  • Elemental Mastery about 850–1,000 on the stat screen with an EM weapon (around 700 with a CRIT weapon), more in combat from her passives; C6 caps its CRIT bonus at 1,000 EM
  • Energy Recharge 100%: use her Burst whenever it is ready

Talent priority

Elemental Skill
Elemental Burst
Normal Attack

Most of her damage comes from Vast Be the Dream and C1, which do not scale with talent levels: her Skill level still raises the party's Stellar Swirl DMG bonus, while her Burst level only improves healing. Her Normal Attacks are never used.

Teams

Recommended teams

Premium Stellar Swirl

Her best team in 7.1: Odette enables Stellar Swirl and buffs Stellar Glimmer DMG, the Cryo Traveler adds Cryo and damage, and Vodyanitsa heals while shredding RES.

Stellar Swirl with Faruzan

Almost as strong with C6 Faruzan (Anemo RES shred, Anemo DMG and CRIT DMG); Sucrose is the better pick without C6.

Standard-pool Stellar Swirl

No limited characters: the free Cryo Traveler enables Stellar Swirl, Qiqi heals and applies Cryo (C6 Diona works too), and Sucrose shares EM. Clearly weaker than with Odette, but still strong.

Guide

How to play

How she works

  • Aisa Utamakura Pilgrimage (Skill) puts her in Dreamdrifter: she floats forward, hits nearby enemies at regular intervals and raises the party's Swirl and Stellar Swirl DMG based on her Elemental Mastery. It lasts 5s, extended by 2.5s each time she triggers a Swirl or Stellar Swirl (twice per cast).
  • Vast Be the Dream (passive): once every 2.5s, triggering a Swirl or Stellar Swirl in Dreamdrifter adds 1,000% of her EM to her next periodic hit. Under Radiance: Stellar Swirl, that hit also deals an extra instance worth 1,000% of her EM that counts as Stellar Swirl DMG — this is where most of her damage comes from. The passive also shares 10% of her EM with the party.
  • Stellar Swirl replaces Cryo Swirl when an enabler is in the team (Odette or the Cryo Traveler). It ignores DEF, scales on EM and reaction bonuses, and, unlike older reactions, it can CRIT.
  • Anraku Secret Spring Therapy (Burst) summons a Mini Baku that drops Yumemi Style Special Snacks: they heal whoever picks them up below 70% HP, or explode for Anemo DMG otherwise.

Rotation

  1. Set up your Cryo: Odette's Skill twice, the Cryo Traveler's Skill (plus Charged Attack and Burst when available).
  2. Cast your third support: Vodyanitsa's Skill, Faruzan's Burst or Sucrose's Skill.
  3. Swap to Mizuki and press E. Use Q during Dreamdrifter only when it is ready — building Energy Recharge for it is not worth it.
  4. Let her drift through the pack until Dreamdrifter ends, then start again.

She cannot trigger Stellar Swirl on her own: without Odette or the Cryo Traveler, she is just a regular Swirl unit. Mobile bosses can slip out of her drift path, so steer her towards the target.

Strengths

  • Top-tier Stellar Swirl damage with almost no inputs: press Skill and steer
  • Heals herself and the team through her Burst snacks
  • Standard-banner 5-star: her constellations come naturally from lost 50/50s
  • Also works as a Swirl DMG and Elemental Mastery buffer in regular Swirl teams

Weaknesses

  • Needs Odette or the Cryo Traveler to enable Stellar Swirl
  • Wants two off-field Cryo units, which narrows team building
  • Loses damage against mobile enemies that leave her drift path
  • Short Skill duration until she extends it with Swirls

Notable dupes · Constellation

C1
Big upgrade

Extra EM-scaling hits every 3.5s that count as Stellar Swirl DMG under Radiance: about +20% personal damage.

C2
Big upgrade

20% Anemo, Cryo, Hydro, Pyro and Electro RES shred during Dreamdrifter, plus an EM-based DMG Bonus for the party: the best stopping point. Both Prydwen and Game8 rate her SS at C2.

C4
Optional

Snacks both heal and deal damage, and restore Energy: comfort only.

C6
Big upgrade

Swirls can CRIT, Stellar Swirl gains CRIT, and she gets up to 20% CRIT Rate and 80% CRIT DMG from EM above 500: a huge spike.
