Genshin Impact 7.2: new Travelers can pick a free 5★ from the Standard Wish

HoYoverse has announced a new-player event for Version 7.2: "Across the Frozen Wilds, Honing One's Edge". New Travelers can invite, for free, one 5★ character of their choice from the Standard Wish "Wanderlust Invocation".

When

• Event period: after the Version 7.2 update (November 4, 2026) until the end of Version 7.x.
• For each account, the event is available for 42 days after registration. Accounts created close to the end of Version 7.x get a shorter window: the remaining time is shown on the event page.

Who can take part

• Travelers who register and unlock the Wish feature after the Version 7.2 update. Existing accounts are not eligible.

What you get

• Once Wishes are unlocked, invite one 5★ character of your choice from the "Wanderlust Invocation" Standard Wish through the event interface.
• You also receive Ascension materials for that character.
• One invitation per account, and it is lost once the event is over: choose before the timer runs out.

The official banner shows the eight 5★ characters of the Standard Wish: Diluc, Keqing, Jean, Qiqi, Mona, Tighnari, Yumemizuki Mizuki and Dehya.
