Traveler (Cryo)
Viatrix
Unlocked in Snezhnaya in version 7.0, the Cryo Traveler is by far the strongest form of the protagonist and a key piece of the Stellar reactions. Their passive turns every Superconduct and Cryo Swirl in the party into Stellar-Conduct and Stellar Swirl, their Frostpierce Star keeps applying Cryo, and their Burst releases a huge Stellar nuke. Completely free, with a free signature sword, they can carry Stellar-Conduct teams or support Stellar Swirl carries like Vesna and Yumemizuki Mizuki.

Substat priority
Stat targets
- ATK 2,000+ (caps the +7% Stellar base DMG and the 160 EM from Lucent Ice), 2,400+ is ideal
- CRIT Rate 70%+ in combat: Exaiphanes Blade and the Anemo resonance buff already give a lot
- CRIT DMG 150%+
- Energy Recharge 100–130% is usually enough
Talent priority
Once all seven elements are unlocked, the resonance buffs from Foreign Permafrost give the Traveler +10% CRIT Rate, +20% CRIT DMG, +20% ATK, +20% Energy Recharge, +20% HP, +20% DEF and +60 EM for free: finish the Archon Quests of every nation before judging their stats.

Main stats
Substat priority
Stat targets
- ATK 2,000+
- CRIT Rate 60–70%, CRIT DMG 150%+
- Energy Recharge 110–130% (C1 refunds 5 Energy per Stellar hit, once every 0.5s)
Talent priority
In Stellar Swirl teams the Traveler is mostly off-field: cast E before your carry so the Frostpierce Star applies Cryo all rotation, and remember that C2 raises your active character's Elemental Mastery (C6, the party-wide buff, cannot be unlocked yet).
Recommended teams
Cryo Traveler Stellar-Conduct
Prydwen's main carry team: Yae Miko's totems provide Electro and big off-field damage, Odette buffs Stellar Glimmer DMG and Qiqi heals.
Mizuki Stellar Swirl
The usual best Mizuki team: the Traveler provides off-field Cryo, a Stellar nuke and, at C2, extra Elemental Mastery for Mizuki.
Snezhnaya Stellar Swirl
Vesna's premium team, where the Traveler is one of her two off-field Cryo sources.
How to play
How they work
- Stellar Jubilee: Illusory Frostmirror converts Superconduct into Stellar-Conduct and Cryo Swirl into Stellar Swirl, and raises the base DMG of both by 0.35% per 100 ATK (up to +7% at 2,000 ATK). The Traveler enters Radiance: Stellar-Conduct inside a Polestar Field, or Radiance: Stellar Swirl for 8s after a nearby Stellar Swirl.
- Ice Fog Piercer (Skill) deals Cryo DMG and creates a Frostpierce Star that follows the active character and fires ice crystals every few seconds. In Radiance: Stellar-Conduct, it fires instead each time the Traveler lands a Normal, Charged or Plunging Attack. Every crystal hit grants 1 stack of Frostglow (max 8, lasts 30s out of combat).
- Frostbound Javelin (Burst, 60 Energy) consumes all Frostglow to deal more DMG; at 8 stacks it throws 5 javelins instead of 3. In Radiance, the whole Burst counts as Stellar Glimmer DMG.
- Foreign Permafrost: whenever the party deals Stellar-Conduct or Stellar Swirl DMG, the Traveler gains Icepoint (1 every 2s, max 3). At 3 stacks, the next Charged Attack becomes Freezing Ice: +140% ATK as Cryo DMG (Stellar Glimmer DMG while in Radiance) and 2 free Frostglow stacks (15s cooldown).
- Ever-Keen Frost turns their attacks into Cryo DMG (+80% ATK) in Stellar-Conduct teams, and Lucent Ice gives Elemental Mastery equal to 8% of ATK (up to 160).
Rotations
- Stellar-Conduct carry: Odette E E, Yae Miko E E E, Qiqi E, then Traveler E → N2C ×2 → N2 → Q → N2C. The Charged Attacks build Frostglow fast and fire Freezing Ice whenever it is ready.
- Stellar Swirl support: Traveler E first, rotate through the team, then come back for the special Charged Attack → Q to spend all 8 Frostglow stacks at once.
Most of their damage comes from the fully stacked Burst and Freezing Ice: never cast Q below 8 Frostglow unless the fight is about to end. Build ATK%, never a Cryo DMG goblet: Stellar DMG ignores DMG Bonus.
Strengths
- Completely free, including the Exaiphanes Blade signature sword and their constellations (capped at C2 for now)
- Enables Stellar-Conduct and Stellar Swirl on their own and buffs their base DMG
- Flexible: on-field carry in Stellar-Conduct, off-field Cryo and nuke in Stellar Swirl
- Low Energy needs thanks to Exaiphanes Blade, C1 and the elemental resonance buffs
Weaknesses
- Needs premium partners (Odette, Yae Miko, Mizuki…) to reach their best numbers
- Only one Traveler per team: using them means giving up every other element
- Damage is back-loaded into a Burst that must be fully stacked to be worthwhile
- Stamina-hungry Charged Attack combos as an on-field carry
Notable dupes · Constellation
5 Energy each time they deal Stellar Glimmer DMG (once every 0.5s): Energy worries disappear.
Ice crystal hits give the active character +60 EM, raised to +120 when they deal Stellar DMG: a big party buff.
Frostpierce Star lasts 25% longer (12s to 15s), giving it full uptime. Not obtainable yet: the Traveler is capped at C2 in 7.1.
Each Frostglow stack spent on the Burst gives other party members +5% Stellar Glimmer DMG for 15s (up to +40%). Not obtainable yet in 7.1.
