Hydro
Bow
Tartaglia
Childe
The 11th Fatui Harbinger switches from his bow to twin Hydro blades with his Skill, applying Hydro extremely fast and marking enemies with Riptide for extra AoE hits. That fast application makes him a great Vaporize driver, but his long melee cooldown and aging numbers have pushed him down the endgame rankings. He is one of the picks in the 7.1 anniversary limited selector.

Main stats
Substat priority
Stat targets
- CRIT Rate 70–80% / CRIT DMG 180%+
- ATK 1,800–2,100 before buffs
- Energy Recharge 110–130%
- Some EM (80–150) helps in Vaporize teams
Talent priority
His Skill talent scales the melee Normal Attacks, so it comes first. His own Normal Attack talent only affects the bow and already benefits from his +1 passive.
Recommended teams
Modern Vaporize (Durin & Nicole)
The modern Vaporize core: Durin and Nicole bring off-field Pyro, ATK and shields; Mavuika adds her party DMG buff (Xilonen or Citlali also work).
International
The classic: Xiangling's Pyronado lets almost every Hydro hit Vaporize, Bennett buffs and Kazuha groups.
How to play
How he works
- Riptide marks enemies for 18s (10s + 8s from Never Ending). It is applied by fully charged Aimed Shots, his ranged Burst, or melee CRIT hits (Sword of Torrents). Marked enemies take Riptide Slash hits (Skill DMG, once every 1.5s) from his melee attacks, and spread Riptide when they die.
- Foul Legacy: Raging Tide (Skill) enters Melee Stance for up to 30s: all his Normal and Charged Attacks become Hydro that cannot be overridden. The longer he stays, the longer the cooldown (up to 36s, and 45s if you let it time out).
- Havoc: Obliteration (Burst): in Ranged Stance it applies Riptide and refunds 20 Energy; in Melee Stance it deals big AoE Hydro DMG and detonates Riptide.
- Master of Weaponry gives every party member +1 Normal Attack level.
Rotation (International / Vaporize)
- Tartaglia E to start the cooldown early, swap to set up Pyro (Xiangling Q, Bennett Q, Kazuha E/Q).
- Back to Tartaglia: melee Normal Attack strings (N2 or N3 cancels) for about 8–10s.
- Melee Q, then E to leave the stance before the cooldown gets too long.
Exit Melee Stance manually: waiting the full 30s gives the 45s maximum cooldown.
Strengths
- Among the fastest Hydro application in the game: almost every hit can be Vaporized
- Strong AoE thanks to Riptide effects
- Gives the whole party +1 Normal Attack level
- Signature Polar Star and Nymph's Dream fit him perfectly
Weaknesses
- Long Melee Stance cooldown creates awkward rotations
- Personal damage has fallen behind modern Hydro carries
- Hydro that cannot be overridden: no Pyro infusion tricks
- Wants two Pyro supports to Vaporize reliably
Notable dupes · Constellation
−20% Skill cooldown: smoother rotations. He is already complete at C0.
Extra Riptide Slash or Flash every 4s on marked enemies.
Melee Burst resets his Skill cooldown, enabling much longer melee uptime.
