Release2.1

Watatsumi's Divine Priestess is a Hydro healer who scales entirely on Max HP and can never land a CRIT. Her jellyfish heals and applies Hydro off-field, while her Burst turns her into a sturdy on-field healer-attacker. She remains a comfortable and versatile pick in Freeze, Bloom and Overvape teams in 7.1.

Guide

How to play

How she works

  • Kurage's Oath (Skill) summons a stationary Bake-Kurage that deals Hydro DMG and heals the active character at regular intervals, based on her Max HP (20s cooldown).
  • Nereid's Ascension (Burst) deals Hydro DMG and dresses her in the Ceremonial Garment: her Normal Attacks, Charged Attacks and jellyfish deal more damage based on Max HP, and her attacks heal the whole party. It also grants interruption resistance and lets her walk on water. The effect ends if she leaves the field.
  • Tamakushi Casket (A1): using her Burst while the jellyfish is out refreshes its duration.
  • Song of Pearls (A4): in the Ceremonial Garment, 15% of her Healing Bonus is added to her Normal and Charged Attack bonus.
  • Flawless Strategy: +25% Healing Bonus, but -100% CRIT Rate. Never build CRIT on her.

Rotation

  • On-field: E, supports, then Q and chain N3 + dash (or N2 + dash). Charged Attacks apply more AoE Hydro but eat Stamina fast.
  • Off-field: E and swap out. Skip her Burst, or build enough ER to recast it and refresh the jellyfish through her A1.

The jellyfish does not follow enemies: place it where the fight will happen, and avoid it against mobile or repositioning bosses.

Strengths

  • Excellent healing, especially on-field, with no Stamina drain or timing to manage
  • Reliable Hydro application on and off the field
  • Easy to build: HP% and Energy Recharge, no CRIT at all
  • Fits many teams: Freeze, Bloom, Hyperbloom, Overvape, Electro-Charged

Weaknesses

  • Poor fit for Lunar reactions: with -100% CRIT Rate, her share of Lunar-Charged damage is weak
  • The stationary jellyfish misses enemies that move away
  • Low returns on constellations and signature weapon
  • 20s Skill cooldown limits rotation flexibility
