Nilou
Dance of Lotuslight
The star dancer of the Zubayr Theater turns Bloom into a team-wide weapon. In a party made only of Hydro and Dendro characters, her dance replaces Dendro Cores with Bountiful Cores that burst almost instantly and scale with her Max HP. She still anchors Bountiful Bloom teams, and the Nod-Krai era gave her a second life as an HP stat stick in Lunar-Bloom teams, where 60,000 HP maxes out her Ascendant Gleam buff.

Main stats
Substat priority
Stat targets
- Max HP 60,000+ (maxes the Ascendant Gleam buff); Bountiful Core bonus caps around 74,400 HP
- Energy Recharge 100% if you skip her Burst, 150–180% if you use it every rotation
- Elemental Mastery is a small bonus, never at the cost of HP
Talent priority
Her talents barely matter: Bountiful Core damage comes from her HP and the triggering character's Elemental Mastery, not from her talent levels. Level her to 90 for the base HP, then stop.
Recommended teams
Bountiful Bloom with Lauma
The classic Nilou team upgraded: Lauma's Pale Hymn stacks boost Bloom DMG and shred Dendro and Hydro RES, Nahida triggers the cores and Kokomi heals the Bloom self-damage.
Nefer Lunar-Bloom
Nilou replaces Sucrose in Nefer's premium team: 60,000 HP gives the full 36% Lunar Reaction buff, and her C2 or signature weapon push her above Sucrose.
Classic Bountiful Bloom
No Nod-Krai characters needed: Nahida and Collei apply Dendro, Kokomi heals and adds Hydro. Swap Kokomi for Barbara on a budget.
How to play
How she works
- Dance of Haftkarsvar (Skill) puts her in Pirouette. Normal Attacks become Sword Dance steps and Skill presses become Whirling Steps; all of them deal Hydro DMG based on her Max HP and count as Skill DMG.
- Her third dance step ends Pirouette. If it is a Whirling Step, she releases a Whirling Water Wheel and a Tranquility Aura that follows the active character and keeps applying Wet.
- Court of Dancing Petals (A1): if the party contains only Hydro and Dendro characters (at least one of each), that third step grants Golden Chalice's Bounty for 30s. Bloom (and Lunar-Bloom) then creates Bountiful Cores: they burst very quickly with a larger AoE, and a Dendro hit on a character under the Bounty gives the whole party +100 Elemental Mastery for 10s.
- Dreamy Dance of Aeons (A4): every 1,000 Max HP above 30,000 adds 9% Bountiful Core DMG, up to +400% (reached around 74,400 HP).
- Dance of Abzendegi (Burst, 70 Energy) is an HP-scaling Hydro nuke with a delayed second hit. It is optional in most teams.
Rotation
- E, then three dance steps: the first two can be quick Normal Attacks, the third must be a Skill press (Whirling Steps) to get the Water Wheel and the Tranquility Aura.
- Q only if Energy allows; in many teams she skips it.
- Swap to your Dendro characters and trigger Bloom as often as possible: the cores do the damage, not Nilou.
Lunar-Bloom teams
With Lauma, Nefer or Columbina, Bloom becomes Lunar-Bloom. Nilou's cores still appear (Nefer turns them into Seeds of Deceit for 15s after her Skill), but her main value changes: at Moonsign: Ascendant Gleam, for 20s after her Skill or Burst, a non-Moonsign Hydro character boosts the party's Lunar Reaction DMG by 0.6% per 1,000 Max HP, up to 36% at 60,000 HP, and her C2 cuts Dendro RES by 35% after Lunar-Bloom DMG.
Nilou herself deals little damage: build HP above everything, and never add a Pyro, Electro, Cryo, Anemo or Geo character, or the Bounty disappears.
Strengths
- Bountiful Cores burst instantly in a wide AoE and scale to huge numbers with HP
- Extremely simple to build: HP% on every piece
- Short field time, and her Tranquility Aura keeps enemies Wet off-field
- Still relevant in 7.1 as an HP-based Ascendant Gleam buffer for Lunar-Bloom teams
- Offered in the 7.1 anniversary limited character selector
Weaknesses
- Locked to Hydro/Dendro-only teams
- Bloom self-damage is still there, so the team needs a healer
- Her own damage is low; the team's damage depends on the Dendro triggers
- Nefer's Seeds of Deceit replace her Bountiful Cores for 15s after each of Nefer's Skills
Notable dupes · Constellation
+65% Luminous Illusion DMG and +6s Tranquility Aura: better Hydro uptime off-field.
35% Hydro RES shred, plus 35% Dendro RES shred after Bloom or Lunar-Bloom DMG: her biggest upgrade in every team.
15 Energy after the third dance step and +50% Burst DMG: only useful if you cast her Burst.
CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG from HP: more personal damage, but Bountiful Cores do not benefit.
