Cryo

Kamisato Ayaka
Frostflake Heron
The Kamisato Clan's young lady is a Cryo on-field DPS whose Burst unleashes a long, devastating cyclone. In Freeze teams, enemies stay locked inside it for every hit. She rose again in 7.1: Vodyanitsa and Escoffier both shred Cryo and Hydro RES, which is exactly what her Freeze teams needed.

Main stats
Substat priority
Stat targets
- Energy Recharge 130–150% with two Cryo units, 120–140% with three or an extra Favonius proc
- With Blizzard Strayer in Freeze: CRIT Rate ~25–40% on the stat screen (the set and Cryo Resonance add up to 55% in combat), CRIT DMG 200%+
- With Marechaussee Hunter: the usual CRIT 1:2 ratio
Talent priority
Her Burst is most of her damage in every team: level it first. In quick-swap teams where she only casts E and Q, level the Skill before Normal Attack.
Recommended teams
7.1 Freeze with Vodyanitsa
The team that lifted her in 7.1: Vodyanitsa and Escoffier shred Cryo and Hydro RES and heal, Furina buffs DMG and enables Marechaussee Hunter.
Freeze with Shenhe
Shenhe's Icy Quill and Cryo shred on top of Escoffier's: huge Burst damage against Freezable enemies.
Classic Freeze
Kazuha groups enemies and buffs Cryo DMG, Kokomi keeps them Frozen and heals.
How to play
How she works
- Kamisato Art: Senho (alternate sprint) makes her dash through an icy mist. When it ends, she applies Cryo around her and gains a Cryo infusion; with her A4, hitting an enemy with that burst of cold gives +18% Cryo DMG for 10s.
- Kamisato Art: Hyouka (Skill) deals AoE Cryo DMG; her A1 then gives +30% Normal and Charged Attack DMG for 6s.
- Kamisato Art: Soumetsu (Burst, 80 Energy) sends out a slow Frostflake Seki no To cyclone that cuts continuously before exploding. It is most of her damage.
- In Freeze teams, a Hydro teammate keeps enemies Frozen, so they cannot be knocked out of the cyclone.
Rotation
- Set up your supports: Furina, Escoffier or Shenhe, Vodyanitsa…
- Swap to Ayaka, dash (Senho), E, then Q (with Mistsplitter, add one Normal Attack before Q to stack it; with Azurelight, Q first, then E).
- Fill her field time with N2 + Charged Attack combos while the cyclone runs.
- Swap out, refresh supports, and come back with dash + E to catch particles.
Kazuha's plunge (and Geo attacks) can shatter Frozen enemies: skip or time it carefully when off-field Hydro application is low.
Strengths
- Huge Burst damage in Freeze, with enemies locked in place
- Built-in Cryo infusion and self-buffs; smooth and elegant to play
- Big 7.1 boost from Vodyanitsa and Escoffier's Cryo and Hydro RES shred
- Great free weapons: Finale of the Deep and Amenoma Kageuchi are craftable
Weaknesses
- Many bosses cannot be Frozen, which weakens both Freeze and Blizzard Strayer
- Damage is heavily frontloaded into her 80-Energy Burst
- Wants a Hydro unit and several specific supports to reach her ceiling
Notable dupes · Constellation
Two extra, smaller cyclones: more Cryo application and damage against large enemies and bosses.
Her cyclone lowers enemy DEF by 30% for 6s, which benefits the whole team: her most impactful constellation.
Every 10s, a Charged Attack deals +298% DMG. Good, but behind C2 and C4.
