The Preservation Trailblazer is a free Fire tank unlocked early in the story. She shields the whole team every time she acts, Taunts all enemies with her Skill and hits back with DEF-scaling attacks. Reliable in the early game, she has since been overtaken by premium sustains and by the other Trailblazer Paths, but her AoE Taunt still has niche uses, notably for Acheron with Trend of the Universal Market.

How to play

How she works

  • Talent – Treasure of the Architects. Each time she uses her Basic ATK, Skill or Ultimate, all allies get a shield (6% of her DEF + 80) for 2 turns. She gains 1 Magma Will (max 8) each time she is hit, and her Basic ATK and Skill also grant 1.
  • Enhanced Basic ATK. At 4+ Magma Will, her Basic ATK consumes 4 stacks and becomes a Blast attack; her A4 Unwavering Gallantry heals her for 5% of her Max HP when she uses it.
  • Skill – Ever-Burning Amber. +50% DMG Reduction for herself, 1 Magma Will, and a 100% base chance to Taunt all enemies for 1 turn. Her A2 The Strong Defend the Weak reduces the DMG taken by all allies by 15% for 1 turn.
  • Ultimate – War-Flaming Lance (120 Energy). AoE Fire DMG based on her ATK and DEF, and her next Basic ATK is automatically enhanced for free.
  • Action Beats Overthinking (A6). If she starts her turn shielded: +15% ATK and 5 Energy.

Rotation

  1. Use her Technique to start the fight with a personal shield.
  2. Use her Skill before big enemy attacks to pull them onto herself; otherwise use Basic ATKs to generate Skill Points.
  3. Use her Ultimate, then the free Enhanced Basic ATK.

Tips

  • DEF is her main stat: it scales her shields and part of her damage.
  • With Trend of the Universal Market, every enemy that hits her gets Burned — a steady stream of debuffs for Acheron.
  • At 30% Effect RES, Broken Keel gives the whole team CRIT DMG.
  • You can switch the Trailblazer's Path at any time outside combat: Harmony and Remembrance are far stronger picks for endgame.
