Gilgamesh
King of Heroes
Gilgamesh is a Lightning Destruction damage dealer and support from the Fate collab. He gains Interest every time an ally acts, then fires an SP-free Skill every turn, and simply being on the field gives the whole team ATK and CRIT DMG — up to +120% for allies with a huge Energy pool. Paired with Saber, he unlocks a Joint Follow-Up ATK that refills 120 of her Energy and doubles her next Ultimate. He is free to claim (instead of Archer) until the end of version 4.6.

Main stats
Substat priority
Stat targets
- ATK: 3,000–3,500+
- CRIT Rate: 90–100% in combat
- CRIT DMG: 120%+ before combat (his A4 adds up to +150%)
- SPD: base — no investment needed
Talent priority
Major Trace priority: Hegemon's Strife (A6) > Epic's Opening (A2) > Hero's Hauteur (A4).
Recommended teams
Kings duo
His most used team: Mortenax Blade's debuffs and DMG bonus amplify both kings, and Huohuo's percentage Energy restore is worth 72 Energy for each of them.
With Robin • Summeretto
Robin adds DEF ignore and ATK, and her Ultimate gives Saber a full action advance plus 20% of her Max Energy (72 Energy).
Follow-Up without Saber
Frequent attackers stack his Interest (and SPD) very quickly, and Ashveil's and Mortenax Blade's DEF reductions stack with his own DEF ignore.
How to play
How he works
- Interest (Talent – "Amuse Me to the Fullest"). Each time another ally takes action, Gilgamesh gains 1 Interest, and each point raises his SPD by 10%. Until he first reaches 10 Interest he automatically uses his Basic ATK; he then enters Interest Piqued! for the rest of the battle, can only use his Skill, and each Skill clears his Interest.
- Gate of Babylon (Skill). A Blast attack (280% / 140% ATK) that never costs Skill Points and grants King's Acknowledgement: his DMG ignores 30% DEF for 3 turns.
- Enuma Elish (Ultimate, 360 Energy). 400% ATK to all enemies plus 10 bounces of 100% ATK, with very high Toughness damage. Whenever a teammate uses their Ultimate, he gains King's Burden: +40% Ultimate DMG for 3 turns.
- Energy (A2 – Epic's Opening). His own Ultimate gives him 2 Interest; an ally's Ultimate gives him 2 Interest and refunds 30% of the Energy that ally just spent. This is his main Energy source.
- Team buff (A6 – Hegemon's Strife). While he is on the field, all allies gain 20% ATK and 20% CRIT DMG, plus 1% of each for every point of Max Energy above 140 (up to +100% more). It has no duration.
- With Saber (Talent – "I Grant You Permission To Strike"). Every attack by Gilgamesh or Saber adds 1 to a shared tally; at 8, they launch a Joint Follow-Up ATK on all enemies (400% of his ATK and 600% of hers). He gains 3 Interest, and Saber regenerates a fixed 120 Energy and deals 200% of the normal DMG with her next Ultimate.
Rotation
- Use his Technique (Enkidu): enemies caught in the Dimension stop moving, and starting the fight on one of them deals 200% ATK to all enemies and gives him 3 Interest.
- Let him auto-cast Basic ATKs until Interest Piqued!, then Skill on every turn — it's free.
- Fire Enuma Elish right after your teammates have used their Ultimates so King's Burden is active.
- With Saber, keep an eye on the attack tally: try to land the Joint ATK just before her Ultimate to get the ×2 bonus.
Tips
- Don't build SPD: Interest already makes his SPD swing wildly in combat.
- His A2 and A6 reward teammates with expensive Ultimates — Saber (360 Energy) is the ideal case.
- The Saber duo is very strong but demanding: juggling Saber's Mana Burst turn, buff timings and the tally makes it a poor fit for autoplay.
Strengths
- Free to claim until the end of version 4.6 (choice between him and Archer)
- Saber's dedicated partner: Joint ATK, 120 Energy and ×2 DMG on her next Ultimate
- Permanent team-wide ATK and CRIT DMG buffs, huge on high-Energy allies
- Completely SP-neutral, with built-in DEF ignore
- Surprisingly high Toughness damage
Weaknesses
- Needs a ramp-up phase before he can use his Skill
- His Energy depends on how much Energy his allies spend
- Constantly changing SPD makes the turn order hard to predict
- Not a competitive main DPS without Eidolons
Notable dupes · Eidolon
His best early Eidolon: King's Acknowledgement's 30% DEF ignore extends to the whole team, gives him +60% ATK, and each Skill regenerates 40 Energy.
5 Interest when entering combat and after each Ultimate, and a much bigger Skill multiplier (+100% / +50%): the stopping point to play him as a main DPS.
+20% All-Type RES PEN for all allies, +80% bounce multiplier on Enuma Elish, and up to +300% CRIT DMG on it after teammates' Ultimates.
