Ashveil
The Wolf is Coming
Ashveil is a Lightning Hunt Follow-Up damage dealer. His Skill marks an enemy as the Bait, which lowers the DEF of all enemies by 40%, and every time another ally hits the Bait he fires a Follow-Up ATK and gains Gluttony, which his Ultimate then cashes in for a chain of extra hits. He also gives the whole team +40% CRIT DMG (+120% on Follow-Up ATKs), so he works just as well as a hypercarry as next to another damage dealer.

Main stats
Substat priority
Stat targets
- ATK: 3,000+
- CRIT Rate: 100%
- CRIT DMG: 150%+ (100% minimum)
- SPD: base, or 135 with SPD boots (sub-DPS, or alongside Sunday / Bronya)
- Energy Regeneration Rate: base (an Energy Rope only wins in niche cases)
Talent priority
Major Trace priority: Damnation Trail (A2) > First Fang (A6) > Phantom Limb (A4).
Recommended teams
With Mortenax Blade
His most used team: Mortenax Blade and Tribbie attack constantly, and together with Ashveil they reach 70% DEF reduction on their own.
Hypercarry
Robin's DEF ignore and ATK stack well with his DEF reduction; Permansor Terrae shields him, buffs his ATK and his Souldragon's attacks trigger extra Follow-Ups.
Sub-DPS for Aventurine • Waveflair
Ashveil's many Follow-Ups feed Aventurine's Fervor, and his team CRIT DMG boosts his Elation Skill.
How to play
How he works
- Flog: Smite Evil (Skill). 200% ATK and marks the target as the Bait. If it already was the Bait, he deals another 100% ATK and recovers 1 Skill Point (you still need 1 SP to cast it). While a Bait exists, all enemies have −40% DEF; if there is none, the enemy with the lowest HP automatically becomes the Bait.
- Rancor: Enmity Reprisal (Talent). He starts with 2 Charges (max 3). When another ally attacks the Bait, he regenerates a fixed 8 Energy and spends 1 Charge on a 200% ATK Follow-Up ATK, then gains 2 Gluttony (max 12).
- Banquet: Insatiable Appetite (Ultimate, 150 Energy). 400% ATK to the Bait and 3 Charges, then an enhanced Follow-Up ATK that costs no Charge and spends 4 Gluttony per extra 200% ATK hit. If the target dies, the remaining hits move to the new Bait.
- Traces. A2 (Damnation Trail): +1 / +2 Gluttony on Skill / Ultimate, and +1 per enemy killed by his Follow-Ups. A4 (Phantom Limb): +80% Follow-Up DMG, +10% per Gluttony held. A6 (First Fang): all allies gain +40% CRIT DMG, plus another +80% on their Follow-Up ATKs.
Rotation
- Use his Technique: Dazed enemies don't attack, and starting the fight on one deals 100% ATK to all enemies and grants 1 Charge.
- Skill the Bait every turn — the SP refund makes it almost free.
- Let your teammates hit the Bait to trigger his Follow-Ups and fill his Energy.
- Fire his Ultimate with as much Gluttony as possible (12 = 3 extra hits).
Tips
- He is extremely fragile: always bring a sustain (Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae or Hyacine).
- Frequent attackers (Mortenax Blade, Tribbie, Feixiao…) mean more Follow-Ups and more Energy.
- DEF reduction beyond 100% is wasted: be careful when stacking Mortenax Blade, Welt and Silver Wolf.
Strengths
- Excellent single-target damage
- Very frequent Follow-Up ATKs
- Huge team buffs: −40% DEF on all enemies and team-wide CRIT DMG
- SP-efficient
- Works as a main DPS, a sub-DPS or a support
- Great Energy economy, and his Ultimate handles overkill
Weaknesses
- Extremely fragile
- Needs frequent attackers to charge his Follow-Ups and Energy
- Single-target kit: weaker in AoE-heavy Pure Fiction waves
Notable dupes · Eidolon
All enemies take 24% more DMG while he is on the field (36% below 50% HP): a big boost for him and the team.
Gluttony cap raised to 18 and 35% of the spent stacks refunded after each enhanced Follow-Up: more hits and more DMG%.
−20% All-Type RES on all enemies while a Bait exists, and up to +120% DMG from the Gluttony gained during the fight.
