Cipher
Piece of Cake
Cipher is a Quantum Nihility support who marks one enemy as the "Patron", strikes it with a follow-up attack whenever an ally hits it, and keeps a tally of the damage her team deals. Her Ultimate releases that tally as True DMG, and simply having her on the field makes every enemy take 40% more DMG. She fits almost any team, as long as she reaches 170 SPD and you time her Ultimate yourself.

Main stats
Substat priority
Stat targets
- SPD: 170+ in combat (unlocks the full Empyrean Strides bonus)
- Effect Hit Rate: 38–39% (Skill and signature), 67% with Resolution Shines As Pearls of Sweat
- CRIT Rate: 40–50% outside combat (her A2 adds 50%)
- CRIT DMG: 130–160%+
- ATK: 2,200–2,700 with an ATK% Rope (optional)
Talent priority
Major Trace priority: Empyrean Strides (A2) > 300 Rogues (A4) > Sleight of Sky (A6) — you need all three. Never trade SPD for damage stats if it drops her below 170.
Recommended teams
Archer Quantum
Her most successful team on Prydwen: an all-Quantum lineup where Sparkle fuels Archer's Skill chains, every hit on the Patron feeds Cipher's tally, and Penacony, Land of the Dreams works on everyone.
Acheron
Cipher counts as a Nihility teammate for Acheron, and with her signature every attack, follow-ups included, applies a debuff that feeds Acheron's Ultimate. Jiaoqiu can replace Mortenax Blade.
How to play
How she works
- Patron (Talent). If no enemy is the Patron, the enemy with the highest Max HP becomes it; the main target of her Skill or Ultimate also becomes the Patron. When another ally attacks the Patron, Cipher launches a follow-up attack on it (once per turn, reset at the start of her turn).
- The tally. Cipher records 12% of the non-True DMG allies deal to the Patron, and 8% of the damage dealt to other enemies with her A4 (300 Rogues). Overflow DMG is never counted, so a tally reflects the real HP enemies lost.
- Empyrean Strides (A2). At 140/170 SPD she gains 25%/50% CRIT Rate and her tally grows by 50%/100% — at 170 SPD she records 24% of the damage on the Patron and 16% on other enemies.
- Ultimate (130 Energy). Deals 25% of the tally as True DMG to the target, then splits the remaining 75% evenly between the target and its adjacent enemies. Against a single enemy, all of it lands on that enemy. The tally is then cleared.
- Sleight of Sky (A6). While she is on the field, all enemies take 40% more DMG, and her follow-up attack gains 100% CRIT DMG.
Rotation
- Use her Technique: the opening hit on all enemies adds 200% more to the tally.
- Mostly use Basic ATK to generate Skill Points; use her Skill when you have Skill Points to spare or to move the Patron onto a priority target (it also Weakens enemies and raises her ATK by 30%).
- Hold the Ultimate until the tally is big, then fire it at the boss or at the start of a new phase. Damage stored during an easy first wave can be carried over to delete the next one.
Tips
- 170 SPD in combat is mandatory: below it you lose half of her tally and half of her CRIT Rate bonus.
- Play her manually: Auto mode fires the Ultimate as soon as it is ready and wastes most of the stored damage. Exception: with Feixiao, frequent Ultimates simply mean more attacks.
- The more HP enemies have, the more she can store — she is at her best against tanky bosses.
Strengths
- Permanent 40% DMG taken aura on all enemies, with no upkeep
- Stores the team's damage for a True DMG nuke that ignores RES and damage reduction
- Very fast and Skill Point friendly
- Fits almost any team as a close second-best support
- Good Toughness damage for a support
Weaknesses
- Low personal damage without heavy investment
- Needs 170 SPD to unlock her full power
- Loses much of her value on Auto mode
- Few good Light Cones besides her signature
Notable dupes · Eidolon
Her tally is 150% of its original value, and her follow-up attacks give her 80% ATK for 2 turns. Much weaker on Auto.
Her hits have a 120% base chance to make enemies take 30% more DMG for 2 turns: her strongest supportive Eidolon.
+350% follow-up DMG, extra tally from her follow-ups, and 20% of the cleared tally is returned after each Ultimate.
