Aventurine • Waveflair is a Quantum Elation damage dealer who feeds on his team's attacks: each one gives him Fervor and the team Punchline. At 10 Fervor he casts a free Elation Skill, which upgrades his next Aha Instant Elation Skill into a Fervor-fuelled barrage. Alongside other Elation characters he gains a huge Elation boost; as the only Elation unit, his Elation Skills count as Follow-Up ATKs, which makes him a star of Follow-Up teams too.

How to play

How he works

  • Fervor. Each teammate attack gives him 1 Fervor and the team 1 Punchline; his Skill and Ultimate add more. Fervor caps at 30.
  • Free Elation Skill. When Fervor reaches 10, he immediately casts Cheers! To Summer's Blaze (counting a fixed 20 Punchline). His next Elation Skill in an Aha Instant then becomes All In! To Summer's Blaze, which consumes all Fervor and adds one extra bounce per point.
  • Certified Banger lasts 1 extra turn on him and adds Elation DMG to his Skill and Ultimate.
  • Ultimate (130 Energy). AoE hit, Punchline and Fervor, and +30% SPD for 4 turns.
  • A4 – two modes. With another Elation character: all allies gain +20% Elation and he gains a further +80%. As the only Elation character: his Elation Skills count as Follow-Up ATKs, and each teammate attack gives him Certified Banger and Punchline and raises Aha's SPD by 25 (stacking) until the next Aha Instant.
  • A6. Teammate Basic ATKs, Skills, Follow-Up ATKs and Ultimates give all allies +48% CRIT DMG and him 2 more Fervor (up to 6 times, reset by his Skill).

Rotation

  1. Use his Technique to open with damage, Fervor and Certified Banger.
  2. Use his Skill every turn — he is SP-hungry, and his Skill also resets the A6 counter.
  3. Keep his Ultimate's SPD buff up at all times.
  4. Let fast-acting teammates stack Fervor so that each Aha Instant fires a fully charged All In!.

Tips

  • SPD scales his damage: from 140 SPD his A2 converts each extra point into 1% Elation. Aim for 160–200.
  • In Follow-Up teams, Ashveil and Mortenax Blade provide constant attacks, and Hyacine's frequent actions help too.
  • His E1 and E2 are unusually strong: they are worth more than his signature Light Cone for long-term investment.

Strengths

  • Top-tier Elation damage in AoE and single-target
  • Works both in Elation teams and as a lone Elation Follow-Up damage dealer
  • Very fast, with a 4-turn SPD buff on his Ultimate
  • Great Energy economy
  • Outstanding early Eidolons

Weaknesses

  • Can be demanding to pilot depending on the fight and teammates
  • SP-negative: he always wants to use his Skill
  • Needs heavy SPD and CRIT investment to peak
