Arlan
Head of the Security Department
Arlan is a 4★ Lightning Destruction damage dealer who pays with HP instead of Skill Points: his Skill consumes 15% of his Max HP, and his Talent raises his DMG by up to 72% as his HP drops. His Ultimate is a strong Blast attack, but his very low DEF means he needs shields to survive at low HP, and he sits in the lowest tiers today.

Main stats
Substat priority
Stat targets
- SPD: 134 (recommended) or 143 — 135 for Glamoth
- CRIT Rate: 60–70%+
- CRIT DMG: 120–140%+
- ATK: 2,400–2,800+
- HP: 3,100+ · DEF: 800+
Talent priority
Ultimate and Talent are equal priority. Major Trace priority: Revival (A2) > Repel (A6) > Endurance (A4).
Recommended teams
Premium hypercarry
Arlan uses no Skill Points, so Sunday and Sparkle can spend them all; Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae gives him big shields and his strongest buffs.
Hypercarry
Bronya can use her Skill every turn to advance him, Tingyun refills his Energy, and Aventurine's frequent shields keep him alive at low HP.
Free team
Game8's budget pick: Yukong and Asta raise his damage and SPD, and the Trailblazer (Preservation) draws enemy attacks away from him.
How to play
How he works
- Shackle Breaker (Skill). Consumes 15% of his Max HP (no Skill Point needed) to deal 240% ATK to one enemy. If he doesn't have enough HP, he drops to 1 HP.
- Pain and Anger (Talent). A DMG bonus based on his missing HP percentage, up to +72%.
- Frenzied Punishment (Ultimate, 110 Energy). 320% ATK on the target and 160% on adjacent enemies (the full 320% on all of them at E6 while he's at 50% HP or lower).
- Traces. Revival (A2): defeating an enemy at 30% HP or lower heals him for 20% of his Max HP. Repel (A6): entering battle at 50% HP or lower nullifies the damage of the next attack he takes (except DoT). Endurance (A4): +50% chance to resist DoT debuffs.
Rotation
- Use his Technique to start the fight with an AoE hit (80% ATK on all enemies).
- Use his Skill every turn: it costs no Skill Points, so your supports can spend them all.
- Fire his Ultimate on grouped or Weakness-Broken enemies.
Tips
- Keep his HP low but safe: shields absorb damage without healing him back up, whereas big heals cut his Talent bonus.
- Prydwen notes he has the lowest base DEF in the game, so shields are mandatory in endgame — Aventurine, Gepard or Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae.
- Skill Point-hungry supports such as Bronya, Sparkle or Sunday pair naturally with him.
Strengths
- Deals damage without spending Skill Points
- Up to +72% DMG from his Talent at low HP
- Solid Blast Ultimate
- Lets SP-hungry supports use their Skill every turn
Weaknesses
- Extremely low base DEF
- Can't heal himself like Blade can
- Needs shields to stay alive at his optimal HP
- Not a compelling investment (Prydwen T5, Game8 C in every mode)
Notable dupes · Eidolon
+10% Skill DMG while his HP is at 50% or lower.
His Skill and Ultimate remove 1 debuff from himself.
Survives one killing blow in the first 2 turns after entering battle and recovers 25% of his Max HP.
At 50% HP or lower, his Ultimate deals 20% more DMG and hits adjacent enemies with the full main-target multiplier.
