Vigilant Yaksha

RolesMain DPS
Release1.3

The last of the Yakshas is an Anemo plunging specialist. Once he dons his mask with his Elemental Burst, he leaps high into the air and crashes down with powerful plunging attacks that no other element can override. With plunge supports like Xianyun and Faruzan he remains a strong, fun hypercarry in 7.1.

Teams

Recommended teams

Plunge hypercarry

Faruzan shreds Anemo RES and buffs Anemo DMG, Xianyun adds flat plunge DMG and healing, Furina buffs the whole team. Plenty of Anemo particles.

Hexerei buffers

Durin and Nicole activate Hexerei: Secret Rite between themselves: Durin shreds RES, Nicole gives ATK, a shield and extra coordinated attacks.

Budget hypercarry

4-stars only: two Anemo batteries for his Burst and Bennett's ATK buff and healing.

Guide

How to play

How he works

  • Bane of All Evil (Burst, 70 Energy) puts on the Yaksha's Mask for 15s: much higher jumps, larger AoE and about +95% Normal, Charged and Plunging Attack DMG at talent level 10, with an Anemo infusion that cannot be overridden. He loses HP while it lasts, and the mask comes off if he leaves the field.
  • Conqueror of Evil: Tamer of Demons: +5% DMG in the mask, then +5% more every 3s (up to +25%).
  • Lemniscatic Wind Cycling (Skill, 2 charges, 10s cooldown) is an Anemo dash that generates particles. Dissolution Eon: Heaven Fall makes each use buff the next ones by 15% for 7s (up to 3 stacks).
  • Xiao never takes damage from his own plunges.

Rotation

  1. Set up your supports: Faruzan E+Q, Xianyun Q, Furina E+Q (or Bennett/Iansan Q).
  2. Swap to Xiao, use E E for particles, then Q.
  3. Spam jump + plunge (JP) in AoE, or N1JP / N1CJP for more single-target damage, for the full 15s. Spend your Skill charges during the mask too.
  4. Swap out when the mask ends and start again.

The mask drains his HP: bring a healer (Xianyun) or a shield (Zhongli), and keep in mind that Xiao needs Energy — Anemo batteries like Faruzan, Xianyun or Sucrose help a lot.

Strengths

  • Very high AoE damage from plunges, with an infusion no one can override
  • Excellent synergy with Xianyun, Faruzan and Furina
  • Plunges make him hard to hit and ignore most terrain
  • Easy to understand, satisfying to play

Weaknesses

  • High Energy needs without Anemo batteries
  • Constant HP drain during his Burst
  • Loses his mask if he swaps out, so his supports must be set up first
  • Anemo has no amplifying reaction: he relies entirely on buffs

Notable dupes · Constellation

C1
Solid upgrade

A third Skill charge: more particles and lower ER needs.

C2
Optional

+25% ER while off-field, which he rarely is.

C4
Optional

+100% DEF below 50% HP: survivability only.

C6
Big upgrade

Plunges that hit 2+ enemies refund a Skill charge that ignores cooldown: a huge AoE damage spike.
