Cloud Retainer in human form, Xianyun is the reference Plunging Attack support. Her Burst summons the Starwicker, which heals the team, raises the active character's jump height and adds a large flat bonus to Plunging Attack shockwaves based on her ATK. She is still the key piece of plunge teams with Varesa, Xiao and Gaming, and a comfortable healer everywhere else.

Talent priority
Her Burst holds all of her healing and buffs. Her Skill only matters for the Storm Pinion stacks and a little personal damage.

Varesa plunge
Varesa's plunges get Xianyun's flat bonus, Iansan's ATK and Furina's DMG buff: her best team today.
Xiao hypercarry
Faruzan shreds Anemo RES and buffs Anemo DMG, Furina buffs DMG and Xianyun heals and powers every plunge.
How to play
How she works
- Stars Gather at Dusk (Burst) deals Anemo DMG, heals the party and summons the Starwicker. It follows the active character, heals periodically and starts with 8 Adeptal Assistance stacks that boost jump height. Each Plunging Attack consumes one stack for extra Anemo DMG.
- Consider, the Adeptus in Her Realm: while the Starwicker has stacks, the active character's Plunging Attack shockwave gains 200% of Xianyun's ATK as flat DMG (max 9,000; 400% and 18,000 at C2). This is why she wants as much ATK as possible.
- White Clouds at Dawn (Skill) lets her leap up to 3 times with Skyladder, then finish with a Driftcloud Wave plunge. Each enemy hit gives the party a Storm Pinion stack (+4% to +10% Plunging Attack CRIT Rate).
Rotation
- E once and finish with the Driftcloud Wave for the CRIT Rate stacks (one leap is usually enough, as particles do not depend on the number of leaps).
- Q to summon the Starwicker.
- Swap to your plunging carry: each plunge uses one of the 8 stacks.
Her healing follows the active character, which makes her much more comfortable than stationary fields for mobile carries.

Doubles her plunge bonus (400% ATK, up to 18,000) and adds +20% ATK: the best stopping point.
Lets her spam her Skill after her Burst and adds CRIT DMG to Driftcloud Waves: turns her into an on-field DPS, rarely worth it.
