Phainon
The Nameless Hero
Phainon is a Physical Destruction damage dealer who doesn't use Energy: he collects "Coreflame" whenever an ability targets him, and at 12 Coreflame transforms into Khaslana. During the transformation his teammates leave the field, every enemy gains a Physical Weakness, and he gets 8 extra turns with massively boosted ATK and HP to unleash devastating Skills. He shines in single-target fights with action-advance supports and Cerydra.

Main stats
Substat priority
Stat targets
- CRIT Rate: 90–100% in combat
- CRIT DMG: 160–180%+ before his Traces
- ATK: 2,200–2,600+
- SPD: 1 point above your action-advance supports (e.g. 136 / 135 / 134); useless during the transformation
Talent priority
Major Trace priority: March to Oblivion (A2) > Bide in Flames (A4) > Shine with Valor (A6).
Recommended teams
Hypercarry
Sunday is his best Coreflame generator, Cerydra duplicates Foundation: Stardeath Verdict at full power, and Dan Heng's Souldragon stays attached to him during the transformation.
Sustainless
Cyrene's Ode to Worldbearing lets him stay transformed indefinitely, refreshing his extra turns and Scourge, while Robin • Summeretto can stack HP% for a big ATK buff.
Free-to-play
The Remembrance Trailblazer advances him and adds True DMG, Tingyun generates Coreflame through her buffs and Energy, and Lynx heals him.
How to play
How he works
- Coreflame (Talent). He gains 1 Coreflame each time any ability targets him (up to 3 can overflow past 12). When the ability comes from a teammate, he also gets +30% CRIT DMG for 3 turns. His Skill gives 2 Coreflame, his A2 gives 1 at the start of combat and 3 when the transformation ends, and his A4 gives 1 whenever a teammate's ability regenerates his Energy.
- Khaslana (Ultimate). Deploys the Territory "Ruinous Irontomb": teammates depart and can't act, all enemies gain a Physical Weakness, and Khaslana gets 8 extra turns at 60% of his base SPD, +80% ATK and +270% Max HP. He can't be knocked down, heals after each attack, and ends with a final hit on all enemies. Buffs he already has don't tick down during the transformation.
- Khaslana's kit. He starts with 4 Scourge. Creation: Bloodthorn Ferry (Enhanced Basic ATK) gains 2 Scourge; Calamity: Soulscorch Edict gains Scourge per enemy, makes all enemies act immediately while he takes 75% less DMG, then counters; Foundation: Stardeath Verdict consumes Scourge for bounces, with a big extra hit at 4 Scourge.
- After the transformation, all allies gain +15% SPD for 1 turn and his A6 adds +50% ATK (stacking twice).
Rotation
- Use his Technique to one-shot normal enemies; in combat it gives 25 Energy to allies, 2 Scourge and 1 Skill Point.
- Before transforming, use his Skill while supports (Sunday, Bronya, Robin • Summeretto, Cerydra) target him with buffs and action advances to reach 12 Coreflame fast.
- Transform right after your supports have buffed him — ideally during an ally's turn, which extends that ally's buffs by 1 turn.
- As Khaslana, alternate Scourge generation with Foundation: Stardeath Verdict at 4 Scourge.
Tips
- Build him 1 SPD faster than your action-advance supports (e.g. 136 / 135 / 134) to get extra Coreflame-generating actions; SPD does nothing during the transformation itself.
- He prefers no sustain at all, but his A4 gives +45% DMG for 4 turns when a teammate heals or shields him.
- He is at his best in single-target content; in AoE his damage spreads onto unwanted targets.
Strengths
- Simple and extremely powerful, especially in single-target fights
- Can be played without a sustain (and prefers it)
- Transformation gives huge durability, CC immunity and death resistance
- Keeps short-lived buffs for his whole transformation
- Good free-to-play teammate options
Weaknesses
- Team Energy and HP can struggle after several transformations in long fights
- Very reliant on strong relics
- Weaker in AoE, where his damage spreads onto unwanted targets
Notable dupes · Eidolon
Khaslana inherits 66% of his base SPD (up to 84% as enemies are defeated) and his Ultimate gives +50% CRIT DMG for 3 turns.
The best stopping point: +20% Physical RES PEN for Khaslana, and an extra turn each time Foundation: Stardeath Verdict consumes 4 Scourge.
Unlimited Coreflame overflow, 6 Coreflame at the start of combat, and extra True DMG after each Foundation: Stardeath Verdict.
