Fugue
The One in a Fugue
Fugue is a Fire Nihility support built for Break teams. Just by being on the field she gives every enemy a second Toughness bar (Cloudflame Luster), so they can be Weakness Broken twice, and she turns the team's hits on Broken enemies into Super Break DMG. Her Skill buffs one ally with Break Effect, lets them reduce Toughness regardless of Weakness Type and lowers the DEF of every enemy they attack.

Main stats
Substat priority
Stat targets
- Effect Hit Rate: 67%
- Break Effect: 220% in combat (about 190% on the stat screen: her A4 adds 30% in combat only, Forge another 40% against Fire-weak enemies)
- SPD: 145+ (Talia), up to 160
- Energy Regeneration Rate: 100–124.4%
Talent priority
Major Trace priority: Sylvan Enigma (A4) > Phecda Primordia (A6) > Verdantia Renaissance (A2).
Recommended teams
Firefly Super Break
Her most used team: all-Fire Break where Forge is always active, and Lingsha's Befog amplifies every Super Break hit.
Rappa Break
The double Break doubles Rappa's Talent Charge and Energy from Elite enemies, so she chains her Ultimates much faster.
How to play
How she works
- Cloudflame Luster (Talent). While Fugue is on the field, every enemy gets an extra Toughness layer equal to 40% of its Max Toughness. Once the normal bar is empty, this layer can be depleted too, which triggers a second Weakness Break (and a second Break DMG instance, delay and any "on Break" effect).
- Super Break for everyone. While she is on the field, allies' attacks on Weakness Broken enemies convert their Toughness reduction into 100% Super Break DMG — no buff to maintain.
- Virtue Beckons Bliss (Skill). One ally gains Foxian Prayer: +30% Break Effect and can reduce Toughness on enemies without the matching Weakness (at 50% efficiency; doesn't stack with other Weakness-ignoring effects). Each time this ally attacks, Fugue has a 100% base chance to lower the target's DEF by 18% for 2 turns. Fugue enters Torrid Scorch for 3 turns, which turns her Basic ATK into a Blast.
- Ultimate (130 Energy). AoE Fire DMG that ignores Weakness Type to reduce Toughness. Nice to have, but not the core of her kit.
- Traces. A2 delays Broken enemies by an extra 15%, A4 gives her +30% Break Effect in combat and refunds 1 Skill Point after her first Skill, and A6 raises the rest of the team's Break Effect by 6% per Break (18% if Fugue has 220%+ Break Effect), stacking twice.
Rotation
- Open with her Technique: enemies are Dazed, Fugue's action advances by 40% and every enemy gets the DEF reduction.
- Use her Skill on the ally who needs it most, then refresh it before Torrid Scorch expires (every 3 turns).
- Use her Enhanced Basic ATK the rest of the time: she's SP-friendly and leaves Skill Points to your damage dealer.
- Fire her Ultimate whenever it's ready to break or finish off Toughness bars.
Tips
- Put Foxian Prayer on your main Break DPS for the Break Effect and the DEF reduction on each of their hits. Against enemies without the right Weakness, a sustain like Lingsha or Gallagher can also use the Weakness-ignoring Toughness reduction very well.
- Reach 67% Effect Hit Rate so the DEF reduction lands reliably, then 220% Break Effect in combat for the full A6 bonus.
- The double Break is what makes her shine with Rappa, Boothill and Himeko, whose kits reward each Weakness Break.
Strengths
- Lets enemies be Weakness Broken a second time before they recover
- Team-wide Super Break DMG with zero upkeep
- Large Break Effect buffs and a DEF reduction for the whole team
- Lets one ally ignore Weakness Types to reduce Toughness
- Extra action delay on Broken enemies, and SP-friendly
Weaknesses
- Her Super Break multiplier is lower than the Harmony Trailblazer's
- Expensive and underwhelming Ultimate
- Needs Effect Hit Rate for a reliable DEF reduction
- Her Skill buffs only one ally at a time before E6
