Release3.8

The Dahlia (Constance) is a Fire Nihility support built for Break and Super Break teams. Her Zone lets every hit on an enemy that isn't Weakness Broken deal Super Break DMG anyway, raises the team's Weakness Break Efficiency by 50%, and her Ultimate lowers DEF while implanting her Dance Partner's Weakness on every enemy. She is the best support the archetype has ever had, especially for Firefly.

Relics

Iron Cavalry Against the Scourge ×4
Best in slot: she deals plenty of Super Break DMG herself, and 250% Break Effect unlocks the full DEF ignore.
Set effects
2pIncreases Break Effect by 16%.
4pIf the wearer's Break Effect is 150% or higher, the Break DMG dealt to the enemy target ignores 10% of their DEF. If the wearer's Break Effect is 250% or higher, the Super Break DMG dealt to the enemy target additionally ignores 15% of their DEF.
Eagle of Twilight Line ×4

Best choice: she implants Fire Weakness herself, so the 40% Break Effect is always active, on top of 6% SPD.
Set effects
2pIncreases the wearer's SPD by 6%. When the wearer hits an enemy target that has Fire Weakness, the wearer's Break Effect increases by 40%, lasting for 1 turn(s).
Talia: Kingdom of Banditry ×2
Slightly weaker alternative; needs 145 SPD.
Set effects
2pIncreases the wearer's Break Effect by 16%. When the wearer's SPD reaches 145 or higher, the wearer's Break Effect increases by an extra 20%.
Lushaka, the Sunken Seas ×2
Fallback: a little Energy for her and ATK for a first-slot DPS that converts ATK into Break Effect (Firefly, Rappa).

Teams

Recommended teams

Firefly Super Break

Her most played team. She fixes E0 Firefly's weaknesses: inflated Toughness bars, Skill Points and Ultimate downtime, while her A6 gives Firefly SPD and Energy with every Enhanced Skill.

Sustainless Firefly

Trades the healer for Ruan Mei's extra Break amplification. Faster, but her A2 only triggers once at the start of combat without heals or shields.

Free-to-play Break

Budget option around Xueyi, with Asta for SPD and Gallagher, whose Besotted amplifies Break DMG while healing.

Guide

How to play

How she works

  • Dance Partners (Talent). When combat starts, The Dahlia regenerates 35 Energy and becomes Dance Partners with the teammate who triggered the fight (or, failing that, the teammate with the highest Break Effect). When a Dance Partner hits a Weakness Broken enemy, 60% of that attack's Toughness Reduction is converted into Super Break DMG. Each time the other Dance Partner attacks, she follows up with 5 random hits (once per turn) that convert into 200% Super Break DMG against Broken enemies.
  • Zone (Skill, 3 turns). All allies gain +50% Weakness Break Efficiency, and Toughness Reduction dealt to enemies that are not Weakness Broken is also converted into Super Break DMG — even through locked Toughness bars.
  • Wilt (Ultimate, 130 Energy). For 4 turns, all enemies lose 18% DEF and receive the Weakness of every Dance Partner's Type, so your Break DPS always hits a matching Weakness.
  • Team Break Effect (A2). At the start of combat, the rest of the team gains Break Effect equal to 24% of hers plus 50% for 1 turn, and it comes back for 3 turns whenever a teammate heals or shields her.
  • Firefly's best friend (A6). An ally who implants a Weakness gains +30% SPD for 2 turns; a Fire ally who implants one also deals 20 extra Fire Toughness Reduction and regenerates 10% of their Max Energy (up to 50%).

Rotation

  1. Use her Technique, then switch to your Break DPS and start the fight with them: they become her Dance Partner and the Zone is already deployed.
  2. Recast her Skill before the Zone runs out (it lasts 3 of her turns), and use Basic ATKs in between to stay Skill Point-positive.
  3. Keep Wilt up at all times: it lasts 4 turns and her Energy economy makes this easy.

Tips

  • SPD first, then Break Effect: more turns means more Zone uptime, more Wilt and more follow-ups.
  • Her follow-ups recover 1 Skill Point every second use (A4), which helps SP-hungry Break DPS like E0 Firefly.
  • She only shines in Break teams; she has no real place elsewhere.

Strengths

  • Uncontested best-in-slot support for Break and Super Break teams
  • Super Break DMG at all times, even before enemies are Broken or while their Toughness is locked
  • 50% Weakness Break Efficiency, big team Break Effect buff and long-lasting DEF reduction
  • Guaranteed Weakness implant for her Dance Partner
  • Recovers Skill Points with her follow-ups and speeds up Fire allies

Weaknesses

  • No place outside Break teams
  • Only as good as your Break DPS, most of whom are older characters
  • Accessible Light Cone options are limited or already used by teammates

Notable dupes · Eidolon

E1
Big upgrade

Her Talent's Super Break conversion applies to all allies (Dance Partners get +40% on top), and each Dance Partner attack removes 25% of the target's Max Toughness once per enemy. Huge against the high-Toughness bosses of Apocalyptic Shadow.

E2
Big upgrade

−20% All-Type RES for all enemies while she's on the field, and newly arriving enemies get Wilt instantly — ideal for Pure Fiction.

E6
Solid upgrade

+150% Break Effect for the Dance Partners, and each follow-up advances their next action by 20%.
