Valkyrie Quicksand is Susannah's farmable A-rank (SP) QUA-type Physical DPS, who dances with her chakram split into two scimitars. Every attack she makes counts as Bleed DMG, and her weapon active and Ultimate are rhythm mini-games where perfect taps hit harder. She has no Astral Ring, depends on Herrscher of Rebirth or Herrscher of Sentience for impair, and still top-scores a few Bleed bosses such as Pishacha and Bleed Herrscher of Sentience.

2pRaksha (T), Sushang (M), Empyrea Phoenix (B). In Herrscher form the team gains 30% Crit DMG and the wearer's hits mark enemies; 15 marks explode for 300% ATK of Physical DMG (CD: 5s).
3pThe team gains 10% Crit Rate for 12s on entry, and in Herrscher form each hit gives the team +3.5% Total DMG for 12s (up to 10 stacks).
2pSage's Mentor set. Total DMG +30%, and the Censured State applied by the B piece's QTE hits (enemies deal 12% less DMG and take 18% more Physical DMG) lasts 4s longer.
3pUltimates give the wearer and the on-field teammate +20% Total DMG for 18s; on Starlit Astrologos, she also gains 40% Crit DMG.

Herrscher of Rebirth in Soul Shaper form provides the impair; since Bleed cannot crit, give her the Bleed set (Susannah: Overtime T + Aladdin M/B) instead of her Crit stigmata.

How to play

Bleed damage

  • All of her attacks deal Bleed DMG: it cannot crit and is neither melee nor ranged, so Crit and melee buffs do nothing for her.
  • Entering the field or casting her Ultimate Dyes every enemy for 15s: the Bleed caused by Bleed Trauma on them then counts as hers. Her QTE, Combo ATK and Ultimate give the team High Morale, which adds extra Bleed stacks.

Core loop

  • Her weapon active (12s CD) tosses the chakram to form a drum: tap Weapon when the rhythm circle lines up for a Perfect judgment. It gives her 40% Total DMG, makes enemies take 20% more Bleed DMG for 15s and, on a Perfect, restores SP and adds up to 55% Physical DMG.
  • Basic ATK fills Confidence (600 max). At full Confidence, hold ATK for her Combo ATK: she kicks gems for heavy Bleed Trauma and 15 SP.
  • Her Ultimate (125 SP) enters the Dancing state: hit the 5 button prompts on the beat. It also inflicts Quantum Collapse on QUA enemies once. You do not need to use it every rotation: timing it well is the key (HoYoLAB guide).

QTE

  • Triggered when an enemy is Time-Slowed or bleeding; it restores Confidence and inflicts Bleed Trauma.

Marisa Impact's weapon-spam loop: Weapon, tap Weapon again when the rhythm circle meets the button (it glows gold), Combo ATK, repeat.

Strengths

  • Farmable (Asterite shop and Open World tasks), and still the top scorer against a few Bleed bosses (Pishacha, Bleed Herrscher of Sentience).
  • Huge Bleed Trauma and 2 extra DMG against hit-count shields from SS rank.
  • Fun rhythm gameplay, and her weapon-spam playstyle is simple and strong in the Elysian Realm.
  • Inflicts Quantum Collapse on QUA enemies.

Weaknesses

  • No Astral Ring: Part 1 content only.
  • Highly dependent on Herrscher of Rebirth or Herrscher of Sentience for impair; without them, only use her in the Elysian Realm (Marisa Impact).
  • Bleed DMG cannot crit and ignores most generic buffs.
  • Her gear costs Battle Pass currency: v7.9–8.1 Battle Pass, BP Works Vintage in v8.2, and Reserve Works since v8.5.
