Traveler (Hydro)
Viatrix
Unlocked in Fontaine in version 4.0, the Hydro Traveler is built around their held Skill: they aim and fire a stream of Dewdrops that grow stronger with Max HP while draining their own HP, then finish with a Torrent Surge. They can heal themselves with Sourcewater Droplets and apply Hydro for reactions, but they are rarely better than a dedicated Hydro unit.

Main stats
Substat priority
Stat targets
- CRIT Rate 40–50% on the stat screen with Marechaussee Hunter (up to +36% in combat), CRIT DMG 150%+
- Energy Recharge 120–140%
- Elemental Mastery if they trigger Vaporize themselves
Talent priority
As a pure support, switch to Energy Recharge with Favonius Sword and Instructor or Noblesse Oblige. In Nilou Bloom, go for Energy Recharge and Elemental Mastery instead, with Freedom-Sworn or Xiphos' Moonlight and Flower of Paradise Lost or Gilded Dreams (KQM).

Reverse Vaporize
Furina's HP changes charge Tidebound fast, while Xiangling applies Pyro for the Traveler's Hydro Vaporizes.
How to play
How they work
- Aquacrest Saber (Skill):
- Press: sends a Torrent Surge forward.
- Hold: enters Aiming Mode and fires Dewdrops continuously, then ends with a Torrent Surge. Suffusion: while their HP is above 50%, Dewdrops gain DMG based on Max HP and drain a fixed amount of HP every second.
- Arkhe: Pneuma: at intervals, the Torrent Surge also releases a Spiritbreath Thorn.
- Rising Waters (Burst, 80 Energy) releases a slow-moving bubble that deals continuous Hydro DMG.
- Spotless Waters: Dewdrop hits create Sourcewater Droplets (up to 4 per Skill) that heal 7% HP when picked up. Clear Waters: the final Torrent Surge deals bonus DMG equal to 45% of the HP drained by Suffusion (up to 5,000).
- Foreign Aqualis: whenever a party member's HP rises or falls by 5%, the Traveler gains a Blade of Many Waters (1 every 4s, max 3). At 3, the next Charged Attack becomes Tidebound: +150% ATK as Hydro DMG per hit; above 50% HP it also consumes 10% HP for another +100% ATK, below 50% it heals 25% Max HP instead (15s cooldown).
Rotation
- Q first so the bubble applies Hydro while you aim.
- Hold E for the full duration, then pick up the Sourcewater Droplets.
- Their own HP drain charges Blades of Many Waters quickly: finish with Charged Attack: Tidebound.
The held Skill leaves them rooted and vulnerable: a shield (or C4) makes it much more comfortable.
Strengths
- Free, with self-healing from Sourcewater Droplets
- Their HP drain triggers Marechaussee Hunter and HP-change effects on their own
- Ranged Hydro damage that works against flying enemies
- Tidebound rewards teams that change HP often (Furina, Bond of Life)
Weaknesses
- Low damage and weak, hard-to-aim Hydro application from the Burst
- Rooted in place while aiming, easy to interrupt
- Suffusion keeps draining their HP, so they need healing to stay above 50%
- Very few teams where they beat a real Hydro unit
Notable dupes · Constellation
2 Energy per Sourcewater Droplet: unreliable.
The bubble moves 30% slower and lasts 3s longer: much better Hydro application.
A shield while aiming, refreshed by Dewdrop hits: big comfort upgrade.
Droplets also heal the lowest-HP teammate for 6% of their Max HP.
