Asaba Harumasa is an S-Rank Electric Attack Agent from Section 6, an archer built for burst damage during Stun. He sets up Electro Quivers that stack Electro Prison on enemies, then consumes it with a string of enhanced Dash Attacks. He's hard to master but very rewarding, especially with his Potential unlocked: Prydwen rates him T1 (at P6) and Game8 Tier 1. Every player could claim him for free in version 1.4.

Zanshin Herb Case BiS
S · CRIT DMG
His signature and the best option in most cases for both Prydwen and Game8: CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG, +40% Dash Attack Electric DMG, and more CRIT Rate after any Anomaly or Stun.
CRIT Rate +10% and Dash Attack Electric DMG +40%; squad Attribute Anomalies or Stuns grant another +10% CRIT Rate for 15s.
The Brimstone
S · ATK%
Standard S-Rank: his Quiver shots count as Basic Attacks and he spams Dash Attacks, so its ATK stacks build fast. Close to his signature, even better at high refinement.
Basic Attacks, Dash Attacks and Dodge Counters stack ATK +3.5% for 8s, up to 8 times.
Cordis Germina
S · CRIT Rate
Seed's signature: top of Prydwen's calculations thanks to Electric DMG and DEF ignore, but its CRIT Rate overcaps easily with CRIT buffs like Nicole's.
CRIT Rate +15%; Basic and EX Special Attacks stack Electric DMG +12.5% for 40s (up to 2); at 2 stacks, Basic Attack and Ultimate DMG ignore 20% of DEF.
Severed Innocence
S · CRIT DMG
Soldier 0 - Anby's signature: a CRIT DMG stat stick; he only keeps 1 stack.
CRIT DMG +30%, plus up to +30% more from Basic Attack, Special Attack and Aftershock hits; at 3 stacks, Electric DMG +20%.
Starlight Engine
A · ATK%
Best F2P option: a pre-combo Quick Assist and one refresh cover his whole burst.
Dodge Counters and Quick Assists raise ATK by 12% for 12s.
Cannon Rotor
A · CRIT Rate
A-Rank from Game8's list: CRIT Rate main stat and an extra hit on crits.
ATK +7.5%; critical hits deal extra DMG equal to 200% of ATK (once every 8s).

Teams

Recommended teams

Dialyn & Astra Yao

Game8's recommended team. Prydwen calls Dialyn his best partner: she extends Stun and converts Chain Attacks into Ultimates, allowing double Ultimates and 16+ Slashes per Stun. Bangboo: Birkblick (Dialyn is from Krampus).

Electric: Trigger & Rina

Trigger stuns from off-field and raises the Stun DMG Multiplier, Rina adds PEN Ratio, Electric DMG and longer Shocks, which also helps with Thunder Metal. Bangboo: Plugboo (three Electric Agents).

F2P: Anby & Nicole

Game8's free team: Anby stuns quickly and fills field time, and Nicole's DEF Shred covers his whole combo. Bangboo: Plugboo (two Electric Agents).

Guide

How to play

Electro Quivers and Electro Prison

  • Electro Quivers (6 max on the field, 60s): 2 from the 5th hit of Cloud Piercer (6 if a Chain Attack came before), 6 from his EX Special Attacks and Chain Attack, and 6 when a squad member applies an Anomaly while none are out (12s cooldown).
  • Basic Attack: Falling Feather (hold Basic Attack after the 5th hit) makes every Quiver fire Ha-Oto no Ya at the target. Each shot adds 1 Electro Prison stack (8 max, 10s); at 2+ stacks the enemy is X-Marked.
  • Additional Ability (a Stun or Anomaly teammate): +40% DMG against Stunned or Anomaly-afflicted enemies, and Falling Feather adds 2 extra Electro Prison stacks to them, the only way to reach 8.

Hiten no Tsuru - Slash

  • Near X-Marked enemies, his Dash Attack becomes Hiten no Tsuru - Slash: it homes in, consumes 2 stacks and loops left-right slashes until the mark is gone. 8 stacks = 4 Slashes.
  • Core Passive: +25% CRIT Rate on Slash, Chasing Thunder and his Ultimate; their crits grant Gleaming Edge (+12% CRIT DMG per stack, 6 max).

Potential

Sure Shot I, unlocked with Potential Silhouettes from the Potential Archive, adds Chasing Thunder (extra Electric hit when Slash strikes a Stunned enemy), EX Special Attack: Nowhere to Run - Patrol (creates 6 Quivers and fires them by itself) and Zanshin - Scattered Blossoms after his Ultimate. Levels II–VI add up to +12% ATK on EX/Chain/Ultimate and 15% Electric RES ignored, and Gleaming Edge lasts 10s from level II.

Game plan

  1. Before the fight, use Cloud Piercer 3 times to pre-build 6 Quivers.
  2. Keep him mostly off-field until Stun, with the odd Defensive Assist for Decibels and Electric buildup. Try to have an Anomaly land mid-combo.
  3. In Stun: Quick Assist → EX Patrol → Slashes → Falling Feather → Slashes → Chain Attack → Slashes → EX Patrol → Ultimate → Slashes, then Cloud Piercer 4-5 to prepare the next Quivers.

Manual Chain helps a lot: it lets you time his Chain Attack and fit more Slashes into each Stun.

Strengths

  • Excellent burst in Stun, with a lot of room for skill expression.
  • Flexible: stun hypercarry, Electric teams or Seed teams.
  • Free for every player who logged in during version 1.4.
  • His Potential makes him much smoother and stronger.

Weaknesses

  • Demanding execution with an unforgiving skill floor.
  • Needs route planning and Anomaly timing for his best combos.
  • Pre-building Quivers before each fight is tedious but often necessary.
  • Very rare in current endgame teams (under 0.2% in both modes on Prydwen).
