Grace Howard is an Electric Anomaly Agent with fast in-and-out rotations: she builds Zap stacks with Physical Basic Attacks, then dumps them into grenade throws that apply Shock very quickly. Her Awakened Potential added Pulse, which lets her trigger Abloom on any Anomaly after her Ultimate, plus +30% Electric DMG. She shines as a Disorder partner, especially next to Velina and Remielle.

Each Attribute Anomaly inflicted by the squad grants +30 Anomaly Proficiency (up to 4 stacks) until the target recovers from Stun or is defeated.

Teams

Recommended teams

Disorder: Remielle & Velina

Grace's most used team in both Shiyu Defense and Deadly Assault. Velina's Vortex counts as Shock damage, so Grace's bonuses apply to it, and Remielle adds huge buffs and damage of her own. Bangboo: Ultra Jake (Velina is from Roscaelifer).

Disorder: Velina & Yuzuha

Yuzuha keeps Disorders flowing and has great general buffs. Bangboo: Ultra Jake.

Stun burst: Nangong Yu & Yuzuha

Recommended by Prydwen: Nangong's reliable Stuns let Grace line up her Ultimate and Ablooms with each burst, and Yuzuha keeps Disorders going. Grace's Additional Ability is inactive here (neither teammate is Electric, from Belobog or an Anomaly Agent), but it only boosts Shock DMG, so the loss is small. For a free version, play Anby instead of Nangong: she shares Grace's attribute and activates it. Bangboo: Knightboo, or Plugboo with Anby (two Electric Agents).

Guide

How to play

Zap

  • Every hit of her Basic Attack or Dash Attack that deals Physical DMG gives 1 Zap (max 8).
  • At 8 Zap, a Special or EX Special consumes them all for +130% Electric Anomaly Buildup, and her Potential gives Enhanced Zap (+30% Electric DMG for 25s).
  • Her Basic Attack string isn't interrupted by Specials, Dodges or Dash Attacks: B1 → B2 → B3 → EX Special → B4 → EX Special is her bread and butter. A Dodge Counter jumps straight to B4, which alone fills Zap.

Pulse and Abloom

  • Her Ultimate gives 8 Zap and 25 Pulse. Each Zap gained consumes 1 Pulse; every 8 Pulse spent, her next grenade throw adds a Pulse Grenade that triggers Abloom on an enemy suffering an Anomaly (e.g. 280% of the Shock's damage, 700% of a Burn's).
  • While Pulse is active, hold Special for Obstruction Removal - Cycle: she throws grenades nonstop and gains 1 Zap per throw. Best during a Stun.
  • Spend your Zap before using the Ultimate so you don't waste its 8-stack refill, and try to line it up with a Stun.

Tips

  • Her Additional Ability (Anomaly Agent, same Attribute or same Faction) makes her EX Special boost the next Shock by 18%, up to 2 stacks.
  • In Disorder teams, alternate Anomalies with your partner. With Velina, her Vortex counts as Shock damage, so Grace's bonuses apply to it.
  • Her EX Special only costs 40 Energy: use it whenever Zap is full.

Strengths

  • Very fast Shock application with quick in-and-out rotations.
  • Abloom gives her extra damage on any Anomaly, which makes her a good Disorder partner.
  • Doesn't need limited W-Engines: her own signature is on the standard banner.
  • Most of her damage comes from Anomalies, so she's cheap to invest in skill-wise.

Weaknesses

  • Her Specials and Ultimate push her backwards, which can cause positioning issues.
  • Her Abloom bursts are tied to her Ultimate, so they're hard to line up with Stuns without a good Stunner.
  • Often outclassed by limited Anomaly Agents: Game8 puts her in Tier 2.
