Anaxa is a Wind Erudition damage dealer who implants a new random Weakness on enemies with every hit. Once a target has 5 or more Weakness types, it enters Qualitative Disclosure: he deals 30% more DMG to it and repeats his Skill for free after each Basic ATK or Skill. He works both as a hypercarry and as The Herta's best Erudition partner, since with two Erudition characters his A4 raises the whole team's DMG by 50%.

Relics

As Navigator Isee Sees It ×4
Prydwen's best in slot as main DPS: his free extra Skills keep the stacks up, even more so with Cerydra. Prydwen's runner-up for hypercarry is Wavestrider Captain (4-piece), when Cyrene and Cerydra target him every turn.
Set effects
2pIncreases ATK by 12%.

Set effects
2pIncreases Quantum DMG by 10%.
4pWhen the wearer deals DMG to the target enemy, ignores 10% DEF. If the target enemy has Quantum Weakness, the wearer additionally ignores 10% DEF.

Set effects
2pIncreases Wind DMG by 10%.
4pAfter the wearer uses their Ultimate, their action is Advanced Forward by 25%.
Scholar Lost in Erudition ×4
Easy to farm generic option with CRIT Rate and Skill/Ultimate DMG.

Rutilant Arena ×2
Generic choice that works in any team, including hypercarry.

Teams

Recommended teams

Hypercarry

His best hypercarry team on both sites: Cerydra duplicates his Skills, Cyrene grants him extra actions, Skill Points and bounces, and Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae shields the team while buffing his ATK.

Double Erudition

The classic partnership: his double Skills generate huge Energy and Interpretation for The Herta, both Erudition Traces activate (+50% team DMG, +80% team CRIT DMG), and Tribbie buffs both damage dealers at once.

Budget

Free support team: the Trailblazer (Remembrance) adds CRIT DMG and True DMG, Asta speeds him up and Lynx heals.

Guide

How to play

How he works

  • Weakness implant (Talent). Each hit implants 1 random Weakness type for 3 turns, prioritizing types the enemy doesn't have yet. His Skill hits 5 times (70% ATK each, bouncing to enemies not yet hit first), so targets reach 5 Weakness types very quickly — and your whole team can then break any enemy.
  • Qualitative Disclosure. Enemies with 5+ Weakness types take 30% more DMG from Anaxa, and after he uses a Basic ATK or Skill on them, he casts one extra Skill for free (no Skill Point, can't chain).
  • Skill. Gains 20% DMG for each attackable enemy on the field when cast.
  • Ultimate (140 Energy). Inflicts Sublimation on all enemies: they gain all 7 Weakness types until the start of their turn, and enemies without Control RES cannot act. Then deals AoE Wind DMG.
  • Imperative Hiatus (A4). With only one Erudition character, Anaxa gains 140% CRIT DMG; with two or more, all allies deal 50% more DMG.
  • Other Traces. Roaming Signifier (A2): Basic ATK regenerates 10 more Energy, and he gains 30 Energy at the start of his turn if no enemy is in Qualitative Disclosure. Qualitative Shift (A6): ignores 4% DEF per Weakness type on the target (up to 28%).

Rotation

  1. Use his Technique: the enemies you engage receive a Weakness of the attacker's type.
  2. Use his Skill each turn: once targets are in Qualitative Disclosure, every Skill becomes two.
  3. When short on Skill Points, a Basic ATK on a Qualitative Disclosure target still triggers a free Skill and gives extra Energy.
  4. Cast the Ultimate every two turns or so, for damage and as crowd control against dangerous enemy actions.

Tips

  • His Weakness implants make Tribbie's RES PEN even better: together they brute-force enemies that aren't weak to your team.
  • In hypercarry teams, Cerydra lets him duplicate his Skill for bursts of up to 4 Skills in a single turn.

Strengths

  • Works as a main DPS or as a second DPS
  • Implants all 7 Weakness types very fast, letting the whole team break any enemy
  • Strong single-target damage and Toughness damage for an Erudition character
  • Guaranteed crowd control that disrupts enemy extra actions
  • Flexible rotation: can Basic ATK and still keep a 2-turn Ultimate cycle

Weaknesses

  • Underwhelming AoE scaling for an Erudition character
  • Faces competition both as a Weakness implanter and as an Erudition partner
