Miss Espionage is Rita's S-rank IMG-type Lightning scythe user, protected by Wheel of Destiny. Her Replicate Weapon Skill leaves an Illusion behind to finish her current move while she strikes again, and she inflicts Paralyze Trauma. She is a Stellar Surplus DPS who shreds IMG-type enemies, and the best support for Reign Solaris in Law of Ascension teams.

2pLightning DMG +10%. On Miss Espionage: enemies take 10% more Lightning DMG from her and, with Astral Ring active, 12% more Total DMG from buffed allies; Wheel of Destiny adds 20% Elemental, 10% Physical and 15% Total DMG for them.
3pOn Miss Espionage: landing her Weapon Skill or QTE, entering Stellar Surplus or Stellar Outburst, or entering battle as the leader gives the team the set buff for 25s; as a Wheel of Destiny or Law of Ascension support, it also adds 25% Elemental DMG and 15% Crit DMG.

Wheel of Destiny teams usually take Lone Planetfarer for damage, but IMG bosses are squishy, so Rita prefers Deepspace Anchor: First Light, who can stay in the back. Wings of Panacea is the other Breach option.

Guide

How to play

Core loop

  • Her Basic ATK SEQ 4 and QTE fill Poise (max 100). At full Poise, hold ATK for her Combo ATK kick.
  • Replicate (Weapon Skill): during Basic ATK SEQ 4, QTE, Combo ATK or an evasion, tap Weapon to stop and immediately perform a Replicate version of that move, while an Illusion finishes the original one. Replicate Combo ATK is her biggest hit and triggers 3s of global Time Fracture.
  • Her Ultimate costs 100 SP (21.5s CD) and freezes time; at SS rank she gets 2 charges as the leader.

Astral Ring (Wheel of Destiny)

  • During Astral Ring Charging, her Combo ATK consumes her Stellar Drain, and her Ultimate Evasion restores 2 Intensity. When a teammate consumes their Stellar Drain, her switch CD drops and her QTE triggers.
  • A full ring puts the team in Stellar Surplus: extra Intensity (up to 20) powers up the next Stellar Outburst.
  • In Stellar Outburst, your teammates become Phantoms: tap one for a support attack, then chain her Shadow Star Attack and Replicates during her Rondo in the Shadows state.

IMG counter

  • Replicate attacks against IMG-type enemies transfer part of the damage from the Nihilus Shell to the Nihilus Seed (30%, or 60% as the leader), and can one-shot a Seed phase below 20% HP. With her signature scythe, her Shadow Star Attack also transfers 70% of that damage (100% with the PRI-ARM).

Marisa Impact's Stellar Outburst loop: use both supports, enter Outburst, call a Phantom and spam Weapon until the finisher (twice), repeat with the other support, then use the Ultimate finisher.

Strengths

  • Best-in-class against IMG-type enemies thanks to her Nihilus damage transfer and low-HP one-shot.
  • Best support for Reign Solaris in Law of Ascension teams.
  • Paralyze Trauma and lots of Time Fracture on demand.
  • Still a fine second support for Wheel of Destiny DPS.

Weaknesses

  • As a Wheel of Destiny support she has been pushed back by Wings of Panacea plus a dedicated support.
  • Her Replicate timing takes some practice.
  • Outside IMG match-ups she is decent rather than dominant, like most Part 2 battlesuits.
  • Several of her key rank-ups (Ultimate charges, extra damage) sit at SS and above.
