Varesa
Strength in Serenity
The Collective of Plenty's farm girl turned masked luchadora fights with headbutts and flying kicks. Varesa is an Electro Plunging Attack carry: her Skill and Charged Attacks launch her into the air, and each Plunge in Fiery Passion opens a window for her devastating special Burst, Volcano Kablam. She is at her best in Overloaded teams built around Iansan and Chevreuse.

Main stats
Substat priority
Stat targets
- Energy Recharge about 130–140% with Iansan and 110–120% with Fischl or Ororon for two Volcano Kablams per rotation; solo Electro is not recommended
- ATK 2,000–3,000 before buffs
- CRIT Rate 50–60% (less with Obsidian Codex, which adds 40% in combat)
- CRIT DMG 180%+ (Vivid Notions adds a lot to plunges)
Talent priority
Her Normal Attack talent holds her Plunging Attack multipliers, so it comes first, then her Burst (Volcano Kablam). Her Skill can stay low. CRIT comes first; build Energy Recharge only if you are within about 20% of the target, since missing a Volcano Kablam costs more than a few CRIT substats.
Recommended teams
Mavuika Overloaded
Her highest ceiling, with a demanding rotation: Chevreuse shreds Pyro and Electro RES and buffs ATK, Iansan adds flat ATK, and Mavuika adds Pyro damage and her Burst buff.
Durin Overloaded
Durin's RES shred and buffs make this team stronger than the standard Mavuika version; only the very demanding Mavuika rotation beats it.
How to play
How she works
- Riding the Night-Rainbow (Skill, 2 charges) dashes forward, gives 20 Nightsoul points and Follow-Up Strike: her next Normal Attack becomes a free Charged Attack that launches her into the air.
- Her Plunging Attack grants 25 Nightsoul points (max 40). Filling them this way puts her in Fiery Passion for up to 15s: stronger attacks, an extra Skill charge, and Plunges that consume all her Nightsoul points.
- Guardian Vent! (Burst, 70 Energy) refills her Nightsoul points and enters Fiery Passion. After a Plunge in Fiery Passion she briefly gets Apex Drive: she can ignore the Burst cooldown and cast Guardian Vent: Volcano Kablam for only 30 Energy, a huge plunge that counts as Plunging Attack DMG.
- Tag-Team Triple Jump!: after her Skill, her next Plunge impact deals +50% ATK as extra DMG (+180% in Fiery Passion). The Hero Twice-Returned!: +35% ATK per teammate Nightsoul Burst (max 2 stacks).
Rotation
- Set up supports: Chevreuse (hold E), Iansan (E + Q), then Mavuika, Durin or Bennett.
- Swap to Varesa: hold E → Charged Attack → Plunge, then E → Charged Attack → Plunge; the second Plunge in Fiery Passion opens Apex Drive.
- Cast Q (Volcano Kablam) during Apex Drive, then repeat the pattern and finish with Charged Attack → Plunge.
Her plunges keep her constantly moving vertically, which keeps Iansan's buff at its highest tier.
Strengths
- Enormous burst damage with Volcano Kablam and Fiery Passion plunges
- Self-sufficient: her own kit launches her into the air, no Xianyun needed
- Perfect partner for Iansan, whose ATK buff she keeps at its highest tier
- Short, punchy field time and fun, fast gameplay
Weaknesses
- Energy-hungry: she wants a second Electro unit (ideally Iansan) and is not recommended as the only Electro
- Relies on specific supports (Iansan, Chevreuse) to reach her ceiling
- Plunge-heavy playstyle can miss small or moving targets
- Her Skill charges and combo timing take practice
Notable dupes · Constellation
Rainbow Crash always adds 180% ATK to plunge impacts, and Volcano Kablam grants it too.
Apex Drive after every Plunge and 11.5 Energy per plunge hit: many more Volcano Kablams. The best stopping point.
+100% DMG on Bursts cast in Fiery Passion or Apex Drive.
+10% CRIT Rate and +100% CRIT DMG on plunges and Bursts, plus 30 Energy on entering Apex Drive.
