Release1.1

Seth Lowell is an A-Rank Electric Defense Agent who plays as an Anomaly Support. His Shield of Firm Resolve protects him and one chosen teammate and gives each of them +100 Anomaly Proficiency, and his Additional Ability cuts the enemy's Anomaly Buildup RES to all attributes by 20%. Easy to build and to play, he is now a budget option: newer Supports do far more in endgame.

Spring Embrace

Original Transmorpher

Mostly defensive stats that don't scale his kit, plus a small Impact boost when hit.
Max HP +8%; being attacked raises Impact by 10% for 12s.

Drive Discs

Astral Voice ×4
Swing Jazz ×2
Prydwen's first choice: his kit is built around Quick Assists, so Astral stacks come naturally. Its own 2-piece also adds ATK +10%.
Set effects
2pATK +10%
4pWhenever any squad member enters the field using a Quick Assist, all squad members gain 1 stack of Astral, up to a maximum of 3 stacks, and lasting 15s. Repeated triggers reset the duration. Each stack of Astral increases the DMG dealt by the character entering the field using a Quick Assist by 8%. Passive effects of the same name do not stack.
2pEnergy Regen +20%

2pATK +10%
Bunny in Wonderland ×4
Hormone Punk ×2
Defense-only set and his in-game recommendation: up to +18% squad DMG from his EX Specials and Defensive Assists. Icy Veins notes you trade some shield strength for team damage.
Set effects
2pHP +10%
4pWhen the equipper is a Defense character: When the equipper launches an EX Special Attack or any squad member triggers a Defensive Assist or Evasive Assist, all squad members' DMG increases by 6%, stacking up to 3 times, lasting 25s. Teams

Recommended teams

Public Security Assault: Jane & Yuzuha

Game8's Assault team and Prydwen's main synergy: Jane shares his faction, and his +100 Anomaly Proficiency helps her reach the 375 needed for 100% critical Assaults. Keep Seth right after Jane. Bangboo: Bangvolver (two Physical Agents).

Mono Electric: Yanagi & Rina

Game8's mono-Electric team. Seth and Yanagi activate each other's Additional Abilities (same attribute), and his Anomaly Buildup RES cut helps her Disorders. Bangboo: Plugboo (two or more Electric Agents).

Anomaly: Vivian & Jane

Game8's Anomaly Support team: Vivian's Ablooms on Physical Anomaly count as Assaults and crit thanks to Jane, and Seth shields and buffs the DPS placed before him. Bangboo: Robin (bonus with Vivian's Mockingbird faction).

Guide

How to play

Shield of Firm Resolve (Core Passive)

  • His EX Special Attack: Thunder Shield Rush - High Voltage gives him a Shield of Firm Resolve worth 80% of his initial ATK (max 3,000, 25s, once every 10s).
  • When his Basic Attack: Lightning Strike - Electrified or his Assist Follow-Up triggers a Quick Assist, the Agent who comes in gets the same shield.
  • Any shielded Agent gains +100 Anomaly Proficiency.
  • His special Quick Assist brings in the Agent placed before him in the squad order, not after: always put Seth right after your Anomaly DPS.

High Spirit (Additional Ability)

With another Electric Agent or a fellow Special Response Team member (Jane, Qingyi, Zhu Yuan) in the squad, his Chain Attack and the Finishing Move of Lightning Strike - Electrified cut the target's Anomaly Buildup RES to all attributes by 20% for 20s.

Rotation

  1. EX Special Attack (80 Energy): instantly grants 75% Resolve and his own shield.
  2. Hold Basic Attack for Lightning Strike - Electrified (spends 75% Resolve): applies the debuff.
  3. Accept the Quick Assist prompt: your DPS comes back with the shield and +100 AP.

Tips

  • His Chain Attack also grants 75% Resolve and applies the debuff: use it whenever it doesn't cost your DPS a big hit.
  • Defensive Assist → Assist Follow-Up also triggers the shielded Quick Assist, handy when Energy is low.
  • Charging his EX is optional: it adds damage and Anomaly Buildup, but not Resolve.
  • The shield uses his ATK before combat: in-combat ATK buffs don't make it bigger.

Strengths

  • A 20% Anomaly Buildup RES cut to all attributes, easy to keep up.
  • Shields and +100 Anomaly Proficiency for himself and a chosen teammate.
  • Little field time, and a simple one-combo playstyle.
  • A-Rank: easy to get to M6, and his signature W-Engine is only A-Rank too.

Weaknesses

  • Only buffs himself and the Agent placed before him in the squad order.
  • His EX Special and held Basic Attack have slow animations.
  • Outclassed in endgame: Prydwen found no team using him among Shiyu Defense and Deadly Assault clears this cycle.
