Umbral Rose
Rita Rossweisse
Umbral Rose is Rita's first battlesuit: an A-rank PSY-type Physical scythe user from v2.8. She lacerates enemies with her scythe sweeps, trades HP for a spinning Thorny Scythe at full Umbra, then heals back in Rosy State, and her Ultimate is a wide Time-Slowing flurry. Marisa Impact remembers her as a decent DPS in her time (and a much-loved maid), but she has no Astral Ring, is not in the Elysian Realm and is obsolete in 9.0: a collection and Part 1 story pick only.

Stat targets
- Stigmata affixes: ATK on every piece
- Reach S rank first: Laceration damage bonuses, 300 Umbra from Iris Blink and the leader skill upgrade
- Only throw the Thorny Scythe on lacerated enemies
Talent priority
Where to get her: Open World, Expedition, Dorm Supply, Dorm Shop and Elysian Shop; Path to Acheron from the Exchange Shop and Battle Pass; G4 Bianka: Theatre from the Foundry, Exchange Shop or Battle Pass (Marisa Impact). Marisa Impact's advice for Part 1 A-ranks: they are all outdated, so farm whichever you like first.
Recommended teams
Part 1 Physical core (legacy)
Herrscher of Sentience impairs every enemy, which also enables Umbral Rose's QTE, and Starlit Astrologos adds Physical DMG and Crit Rate from the background. No Astral Ring: older content only.
Budget A-rank supports
The Thorny Scythe is a Charged ATK, so it calls Danzai Spectramancer's extra specters (augment core 4★); all three are easy to farm.
How to play
Laceration
- Her 5-sequence scythe combo applies Laceration with the last hits of SEQ 2 and SEQ 5 (2 stacks, 5s): enemies take 10% / 20% more Total DMG, and from S rank she gains a further 20% / 40% against them.
Umbra and the Thorny Scythe
- She starts with 800 Umbra (the maximum) and regenerates 50 per second. At full Umbra, hold [ATK] during any attack to throw the Thorny Scythe (up to 8 × 100% ATK of Physical DMG), which spends all Umbra and 15% of her max HP (it cannot kill her).
- She then enters Rosy State for 6s: Basic ATK and Ultimate hits heal her (0.5% HP each). At SS she also takes 50% less damage in this state.
- Umbra refills from SEQ 2 (+80), SEQ 5 (+120), the Ultimate (+160) and Iris Blink (+300 from S rank).
Ultimate: Reaper of Weeds
- 100 SP (CD: 20s): a 7-sequence blink flurry that briefly slows enemies, a cyclone that applies 2 Laceration stacks, then a huge 800% ATK sweep. Its last strike gains up to +50% against lacerated enemies (S rank).
Iris Blink
- Ultimate Evasion triggers a Time Fracture (2s, 3.5s at SS); tap [ATK] for the Shuttle ATK (Basic ATK SEQ 4), which restores Umbra and 6 SP.
- QTE: triggered on an impaired enemy (adds Laceration). Switch skill: an empowered SEQ 3.
Rotation: open with the Thorny Scythe at full Umbra → Basic ATK up to SEQ 5 for 2 Laceration stacks → Ultimate on the lacerated group → Ultimate Evasion + Shuttle ATK to refill Umbra → Thorny Scythe again.
Strengths
- Good AoE and built-in Time Fracture from her evasion.
- Self-healing in Rosy State and, at SS, a once-per-battle cheat death.
- Leader skill (S rank): +16% Attack Speed for the team and +21% Ultimate Total DMG for PSY battlesuits.
- Easy to get: Open World, Expedition, Dorm Supply, Dorm Shop and Elysian Shop.
Weaknesses
- Obsolete in 9.0: an A-rank with no Astral Ring, no current endgame use and no Elysian Realm version.
- Her Thorny Scythe costs HP, and her damage is low next to any modern Physical DPS.
- Most of her damage bonuses need S rank.
- Superseded by Rita's later battlesuits (Fallen Rosemary, Miss Espionage) and every later Physical scythe user.
Notable dupes · Rank
Unlocks Hardened Prickles and Jagged Splinters (big bonuses against lacerated enemies), Rush Renewal (300 Umbra from Iris Blink) and the stronger leader skill.
Hardy Lilac (50% damage reduction in Rosy State), Rosemary (once-per-battle cheat death) and a longer Time Fracture with a shorter CD.
Vile Mustard: the Ultimate deals 30% more against bleeding or impaired enemies.
