Release7.7

Schicksal's Imperative is Theresa's S-rank QUA-type Lightning battlesuit, a Chained Blades user protected by World Star. She builds up Stress, relieves it with aerial attacks, and her Ultimate lets her fall asleep while her HOMU puppets fight, inflict Quantum Collapse and Paralyze Trauma. She is rarely used now as either DPS or support: her best bosses (Resonance Vita, Opaque Shadow, Starless Benares) seldom appear, and Sparkle beats her against QUA Valrahal (Marisa Impact). She remains a serviceable World Star DPS and a Quantum Collapse / Paralyze utility pick.

World Star DPS

Top lineup of the v8.3 CN top 100 against Resonance Vita (51%, rank 1) and a top 10 lineup against QUA Valrahal in v8.2–8.4, with the Songque AstralOp. Herrscher of Rebirth can replace Sparkle (the v8.5 Resonance Vita top team).

QUA Valrahal (v8.8)

Her last CN top 100 Abyss appearance (v8.8, Bailu Youyun AstralOp), where Sparkle in her place scored higher.

Rite of Oblivion Breach

80% of the v7.8 CN top 100 against QUA Valrahal and still used there in v8.2–8.4: Lone Planetfarer gives Breach, Herrscher of Finality triggers Resonance marks quickly.

Guide

How to play

Core loop

  • In Don't Wanna Work, her attacks build up Stress (600 max); her Weapon Skill throws a ball for 300 Stress. With full Stress, hold ATK for Sleep Helper (ground) or Message Blocking (air) to enter Let Me Leave Work!.
  • In Let Me Leave Work!, each aerial Basic ATK relieves 150 Stress (mash during SEQ 2 to extend it), and her Weapon Skill becomes Stress Transfer, which marks the first enemy hit. At 0 Stress (or by holding ATK) she performs Work Is Over Alarm: 2s of Time Fracture, 12 Paralyze Trauma, 12 SP for the team and 10 more for herself.
  • Her Ultimate (50 SP, 10s CD) puts her to sleep for up to 16s while her puppets auto-attack; you can switch to a teammate meanwhile. After 5s, Work Done in Dreams inflicts Quantum Collapse on every enemy and 12 Paralyze Trauma.

Astral Ring (World Star)

  • Work Is Over Alarm consumes her Stellar Drain during Astral Ring Charging (20 Intensity under World Star or Wheel of Destiny).
  • Entering Stellar Outburst gives her full Stress and, under World Star, 6 Quantum Mech Energy: mash ATK for 3-hit sequences that each trigger Resonance, then Work Is Over Alarm. As the leader, her puppets become Domain Resonance Marks and devour her teammates' marks for extra Resonance.
  • Under Wheel of Destiny she casts Work Done in Dreams as soon as Stellar Outburst starts and can mostly stay in the back, like Deepspace Anchor.

As a support

  • Without Astral Ring (Part 1 teams), Work Done in Dreams gives teammates +34% Total DMG for 18s (+40% at S2; Theresa teammates get 14% Elemental Breach instead, 17% at S2), plus Paralyze Trauma and SP.

Marisa Impact's Elysian Realm loop (Stellar Outburst): Combo ATK when you have enough meter, Basic ATK to spin and gain meter, Weapon Skill to recover half the meter, Ultimate whenever it is ready.

Strengths

  • Multiple ways to inflict Quantum Collapse, and heavy Paralyze Trauma.
  • Her Ultimate lets her fight from the back while her puppets attack.
  • Team SP regen and Total DMG buffs for Part 1 teams.
  • Obtainable from the Battle Pass, and her stigma set is craftable.

Weaknesses

  • Rarely used now as DPS or support: her best Abyss bosses seldom appear (Marisa Impact).
  • Sparkle beats her as a DPS against QUA Valrahal.
  • Not the best support for any current World Star or Wheel of Destiny team.
  • No free way to get her.
