A tiny self-proclaimed witch hunter who came all the way from Nod-Krai, Prune is an off-field Anemo support built around Swirl. Her Burst sends the Witchlure Bell after the active character, and every Swirl it triggers calls down a Banehunter Oathhammer infused with the swirled element, which grants the team a DMG bonus based on Prune's ATK. As a 4-star Hexerei character, she is the tailor-made Anemo partner for Varka.

Tolling Rally uses Prune's ATK at the moment her Oathhammer hits, so off-field buffs on her count (Nicole's Grace of Kenosis, her own +60% from Hexerei: Secret Rite, her C2): the 4,000 ATK target is easier to reach in her real teams than on the stat screen.

How to play

How she works

  • Ring-A-Ding-Ding! Hexhunter Chime (Skill) strikes the Witchlure Bell for Anemo DMG. If it triggers Swirl or Stellar Swirl, the Skill becomes Clang Clang! Witch-tribution Comes! for 6s: a kick that sends the hammer, converted to the swirled element, at enemies.
  • The Bell Tolls! The Hunt Is On! (Burst, 70 Energy) puts the Witchlure Bell in Hunter-Seeker mode for 12s: it follows the active character and attacks nearby enemies. With Verdict and Punishment, every Swirl it triggers summons a converted Banehunter Oathhammer (150% ATK).
  • Tolling Synchronicity: each hit from a converted Oathhammer gives the other party members Tolling Rally for 5s: +0.025% DMG per point of Prune's ATK above 2,000, up to +50% at 4,000 ATK, for Normal, Charged and Plunging Attacks, Skills and Bursts.
  • Hexerei: Secret Rite: when a Hexerei teammate with Tolling Rally triggers a reaction, Prune gains +60% ATK for 5s (which helps her reach 4,000 ATK), and that teammate gains +30% ATK if the reaction was a Swirl.

Rotation

  1. E (a second E for Clang Clang! Witch-tribution Comes! if it triggered a Swirl), then Q, and swap out early in the rotation, before your main DPS.
  2. Keep Pyro, Hydro, Electro or Cryo on enemies so the Bell's attacks keep swirling and refreshing Tolling Rally.

Only her ATK matters: her talent levels do not change her buff, so leveling her to 80/90 is more useful than raising her talents.

Strengths

  • A 4-star, so her key C6 is within reach

  • Very high Energy needs before C1
  • Needs a lot of ATK (2,000 just to start buffing, 4,000 to cap)
  • Weaker outside Hexerei teams, where Sucrose or Venti can compete
